The Hobbit Hole XXIV - Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
Please see our Hobbit Hole Troop Support project blog! ^

Posted on 08/24/2005 9:50:25 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well, so did I but I didn't think it was ever 'too much'. Really enjoyed the show, didn't realize till later how well they were crafted.

So the minibagelmaker is all that stands between the Toaster and Total World Domination?

Hehehe....we used to tease my sister imitating the entriloquist dummy that came to life. She still won't watch that episode.

I guess. Somehow the minibaker has to bake cinnamon raisin bagels big enough to choke a toaster.

Hmmm... perhaps the stove can serve as host to a sort of Manhattan Project...

Do they allow 'team writing' for NaNoWriMo?

Hehehe... who knows... but I'm working on my own plot here. I've done it three years running, not gonna stop just because I'm insanely busy!

All I have to do is figure out how to fit in a pawnshop.

Obviously the Pawnshop is the Headquarters for the Toaster Rebellion.

I don't like that one.

Dummies can be verrrrry creepy.

But the saddest, though not scariest, is the one with the little dude that just wants to read. *snif*

It's really meant to be individual, I think.

But we can certainly bug others for ideas...

The dummy ones and the Talking Tina are verrrry creeepy. My sister doesn't like it when dolls come alive.

How do the plant and the little trashcan figger into things?

I think the plant is the Chronicler of the Toaster Rebellion and the trash can is just waiting for a cinnamon raisin bagel to drop.
