Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED ABOUT 1500 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER
ANTILLES CONTINUES TO SHOW SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION AS IT MOVES TO THE
WEST-NORTHWEST. THIS SYSTEM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A
TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS UPPER-LEVEL
WINDS BECOME MORE CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT.
THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION THIRTEEN ARE SHOWING SIGNS OF
REGENERATION ABOUT 850 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BERMUDA. THIS
SYSTEM COULD BECOME A TROPICAL CYCLONE AGAIN TONIGHT OR TOMORROW AS
IT MOVES NORTHWARD.
They thought TD-13 was gone. But just a note. Katrina WAS TD-10, she re-formed and they called her TD-12...

TD-13 was tracking to the North Atlantic. I looked like it would do what the earlier ones did. But who knows.
September is the busy month for hurricanes in the mid-Atlantic.

Are the worst ones usually early in the season, though? I'm just guessing based on names...Camille, Betsy, Andrew...all pretty early in the alphabet.
Or is it just that there have been so many this year that we're so far along?

I'm gonna go read about Church history. It's less contentious.

Well, we got a new dryer. A
Kenmore Elite 7.5 cu. ft. King Sized capacity electric dryer.Whoever it was got us the gas dryer and it was more expensive, and they also paid for delivery, but we got it home ourselves so we saved money that way...anyway, with what was left over on the gift cards, we ended up with just a few dollars shy of what we need to replace our microwave! So Steve is going to take the measurements.

It's got a light inside it!
And I told Joshua "You know, this dryer turns off automatically..." He was stuned. Said "It turns of automatically!!?? Wow!" (Our old one used to, but quit a long time before it started tearing holes in our clothes. He doesn't remember.)
No more frozen fingers this winter...
