Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I think I might have had a "misplaced modifier" You won't be misplacing them so often after your surgery. ;-)
Prayers that all goes well.

Nothing scary than not being able to find your glasses after you wash your face besides misplacing your modifiers!!

I'm home and settled in.
Finally got out of work at 3pm. No real flooding yet and the winds aren't bad at all.
I'm starting to think this may be a big non-event.
I still don't want to go to work tomorrow. :-P

Grrr...I went to the grocery for quarters, walked in, used the ATM, and then saw they had both avocados and eggplant on sale for a dollar each. I got the stuff to make eggplant lasagna (which I'm well aware will be for my consumption only - chicken! ;-), and by that time, I'd forgotten all about quarters. Came home without them. Again.
I can be so stupid sometimes.

Speaking of non-events (or the lack thereof) has anyone heard From Graybeard58 lately?
To: RosieCotton
Errrr.... well, I'm very happy that eggplant was on sale. And that you're making lasagna. And that I'm on Atkins :-)

Eggplant is low in carbs!
I'm happy it was on sale. I'll make up on Saturday, I guess. It's a bit labor intensive, done right. Also need to get more parmesan.

Sometime within the next hour or two.
Most of the water will fall on the backside of the storm, so I won't know until morning just how bad the flooding will be.

The nice thing about WTM is that you could get a lot of the books from the library; especially the literature books! The library should have some good reference materials as well. Does the WTM website have links to internet reference sites? Check that out too!
