I don't know which would be worse...being one of the people waiting outside the Dome, or being gridlocked in traffic, knowing the thing was headed your way.
Not good alternatives, either one.
People should have been on the road far earlier...but there's not much that can be said now.
Well, cable channels don't fall under the same FCC rules that broadcast channels do.
Watching the season ender of "The 4400" here... it's a real barn-burner....
We're DVRing the show. That way we can watch it without commercials! We'll turn it on in a few minutes.
Alkhin,
Is Fort Bend Theatre still in business. They had not updated their website for ages, and now they appear to no longer have hold of their domain name.
I was trying to see what their season was.
The Katrina threads seem to have degenerated into a series of long running flame wars. AdminMod is smoking folks left and right.
Yeah. Kinda sounds like everybody's trapped in the Superdome.
It's a train wreck... the thing, and the threads. Can't stop watching either.
On the plus side, I've gathered a couple promising recipes for red beans and rice, and have a mental jukebox running with all the song lyrics that have been posted.
Not making light of it...but people are people wherever you go. I love that about FR, bad and good.
Heh...yeah.
I have a feeling I'm gonna be up all night...
I'm thinking about leaving the streaming video on and trying to get some sleep.
Probably it's a good thing we haven't got tv. I'm gonna try to take a few minutes away - last time I got too antsy I ended up scrubbing the bathroom.
As far as I know they are. The last announcement I recieved was for their second musical at the new auditorium built by Missouri City for "West Side Story". There had been an announcement when they ran The Wizard of Oz that because of the highway developements along 90A and Stafford, the theatre was going to have to find a new home and there was hope that Missouri City would allow them to use the theatre as their home...but beyond that I dont know what has been going on.
Havent really done anything with them since summer of 2004. None of their plays to date have been anything that I have felt like trying out for. Please me know if you catch up on them, and please tell Bill Cronin I said hello!
I'm going to bed. It doesn't get better, watching.
It doesn't, but it's awfully hard to stop watching.
Here's hoping it weakens as much tonight as it strengthened last night...though even that would leave it a major storm.
I'm turning in.
Meeting the trainer at 6 a.m. I should be able to catch the news as it's hitting after that.
See y'all tomorrow.
Good night Corin!
Good night thread!
