AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1663) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | August 10, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 08/10/2005 4:21:52 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The shuttle landed safely yesterday in California.

Do you have $100 million lying around that you just don't know how to use? Well, Space Adventures has the answer for you. For a cool nine-digit sum, you will be able to take a tour around the moon. Plans for the venture are still in the works.

After playing computer games for 50 hours in Seoul, the man, 28 years old, died of heart failure.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning - I'm new to your thread, but have lurked in other places on FR for years. Did anyone see the interview on Fox & Friends this morning with the British reporter from the London Times who infiltrated a fundamentalist sect in the UK? I've tried to find the link to his story but have been unable to so far. Has anyone else seen it?

Thanks.

LOL!!! Good idea!

lysie, Is it possible to let her miss a few days atthe senior center and see how it is for her not to see her friends? Or would that backfire on you? Seems to me you are dealing with a stubborn child and ought to treat her as such (if possible),

Nope, she'd knock on our door at 4am in anticipation.

Well, I just gave her both barrels. Told her that I'm tired of the games..and if she wants to go to senior get up. I also told her that I get frustrated when I see her doing 1/10 of what her 4 year old sister with a hip operation....not because of me other than I'm afraid what she doesn't use....she will lose. Her choice!! Get rid of the pity party.

OMG..I hate doing this, I'm shaking and trembling.

I would do the same to my mom if she was like this...which she wouldn't...

It's almost like she wants to be an invalid for attention!

Doctor's appointment tomorrow. He will get an earful!!

Welcome. I heard some of the interview, but missed a lot of it so I can't help, unfortunately. Often FNC replays key segments of important interviews.

(((lysie)))

Deep breaths. You know that you are a good person and confrontation like this is difficult, especially for women. Just remember that you're doing the right thing for her sake as well as yours.

Both those were wonderful, Molly! I could follow links from one story to another to another to another, and never get ANYTHING done, LOL!

If a bear got into my house and started rummaging around, I would probably disgrace myself in fear.

And Debra Saunders is just wonderful: a lonely voice of reason in the blue-washed medium of San Francisco newspapers.

Some people WANT to push your buttons, probably on the theory that they want you to "prove" how much you love them even when they're being difficult. My hubby has a wonderful way of dealing with that. He just asks point blank: Is that how you would want to be treated if the situation were reversed? (Golden rule plus family guilt: a winning combination, LOL!)

Oh Sweetie, I wish there was something I could do to help carry your burden.

IMHO you are far too kind. If it were me, I'd let her sleep. And I'd leave the house for the day and leave her alone, even if I had to go camp out at the local library. I would do it just to see if she'd finally cry UNCLE.

Perhaps it's time to tell her you can no longer deal with the responsibilites as Care Giver and that you are looking for a Care Center for her. Start touring the Care Centers and bring literature home. Ask her which one she prefers, that you just can't continue as things are going and she'll have to leave. Talk tough (I think maybe you did that this morning, but you can't lapse back into Niceness), say what you mean, mean what you say.

Mayve it's REALLY time to MOVE HER OUT if she will not behave as a guest in your home. She's going to destroy you if you don't get tough.

I know you didn't ask for opinions, but I'm feeling so terribly sad for you and your circumstances. Please forgive me if I've overstepped my bounds.

Please say so, if I've gone too far.

Weldon said that he had spoken to Roemer and Lehman about this, and neither one had ever heard anything about it. Weldon made it plain that he wanted to know if STAFF kept things from some members of the commission. And he wants hearings!

Holding Our Breath, Able Danger was a secret group formed by General Sheldon back in the late 90's to use data mining of open sources (which the CIA refused to do) to see if there were terrist suspects that should be watched. Four of the 9/11 hijackers turned up on their list, including Mohammad Atta. They were prohibited from giving this information to the FBI by Clinton attorneys.

prairiebreeze, the FBI never got this information, because Able Danger was a DOD group and the CLINTON ATTORNEYS would not allot them to alert the FBI.

I will bet cash money this is what Berger took from the Archives...memos from Sheldon or someone in DOD complaining and asking to tell the FBI. Fireworks coming!!

You did the right thing. Do not beat yourself up about it.

My own mother got YEARS out of being an invalid. She was, at one point, able to walk with a walker. She bamboozled my father into letting her stay away from therapy and be an invalid. She also became reclusive and wouldn't attend any family functions.

It is only after she was at the nursing home with my dad, and later by herself, that she has improved her mental outlook and takes part in family activities. They make her take part in things and she also has the comparison to people who are in worse shape.

If your mil continues to hole up in the house, playing the invalid and disrupting everything you try to do, she will become that which she is pretending to be....an invalid.

You did exactly right. We should have insisted on my mother continuuing with therapy, but going against my dad was just impossible.

Fitting the Pieces Together--Able Danger, Jamie Gorelick & 9/11

I haven't read this except for skimming part of the opening but it looks like there is some very good material here ... time lines established, etc.

I looked on the FOX News website and all I could find was this brief sentence saying that they were going to have this reporter on for a phone interview:

Plus, Ali Hussain, freelance reporter for The Sunday Times, risked life and limb to infiltrate the tight, British-based circle of radical Islamic cleric, Omar Bakri Mohammed. He joins us by phone to explain what he found.

I couldn't find a transcript ... don't know if or when they put them up. If I come across anything, I'll be sure to ping you.

They came out in the middle of the night for me once when lightning set my chestnut tree on fire....stayed here for hours to make sure that the fire was completely out.

So... you could sing, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire..."

Sweet of you to bake a pie.

Just heard about this report.

Sandy Berger should now be put on the hot seat regarding what he took out of the NSC.

Clintons ought to be brought in as well!
