During the course of their research, Goldberg and Leyner found reports of gonorrhea, pinworm and roundworm found on toilet seats -- but catching something from it isn't common. Regarding catching gonorrhea from a toilet seat, I was once told that that particular germ dies within so many hundreds of a second upon exposure to air. You would have to be the fastest thing in the world...
