In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
propinquity \pruh-PING-kwih-tee\, noun
1. Nearness in place; proximity.
2. Nearness in time.
3. Nearness of relation; kinship.

the anesthesia alone is enough to worry about for something elective! let alone being disfigured and gargoylelike after.

I dislike surgery and all it encompasses when it is for medicl necessity........no way would I opt for something elective.
