I like "And Justice for All" and earlier. I can tolerate the Black Album. Load onward are loads of #@#t.

It would be really hard for me to say.

Somehow, my taste turned to Bluegrass/Newgrass. Strange, hugh?

But, I would welcome any and all reunions. The last such that I saw was Traffic back in '98 or so.

I agree. All very good albums.

Did you ever notice how the lead singer, Ian Asbury, sounds like Weezie Jefferson? And speaking of Ian, I recently learned he is fronting the Doors of the 21st Century.

The last CD I listened to was Sugarland. They're relatively new on the country charts. The lead female singer puts me alot in mind of Shelby Lynn, which is probably why I like them! "Down in Mississippi and up to no good"!

I am at this moment listening to Dire Straits - ("The Very Best of...") as I'm working. I listen to music all the time - it keeps me going.

I have that one too. My favorite AC/DC song is off of both that and the Let there be Rock CD. "Problem Child".

America was one of my favorite Yes tunes, also.

Topographic Oceans and Relayer aren't regarded as their best work, but they do hold a place on my list of favorites.

The last CD I listened to was Sugarland

I saw Sugarland today along with Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy, at a local country radio's free annual birthday bash

Everyone sounded great!

I haven't heard Weezie in many, many moons, so I'll just take your word for it. LOL!

I realize this is considered heresy by many, but I'll say it: The Doors were probably the most overrated band in their day. They would probably still hold the most overrated band title had Nirvana not come along.

["Aja" is the best they ever did, and in fact, I consider it to be the "best" album ever made (and many audio engineers agree). I'm not really talking about it just from the musical side... Excellent writing, spectacular musicians, etc. But the actual recording and mixing is really something else. It really is amazing when analyzed technically, and a lot of audio schools use it as an example of what to do.]

As a sound and recording technician myself, I would agree with the gist of this (excellent writing, spectacular musicians, recording and mixing) but I just plain can't stand the MUSIC. :^)

Can't go too far wrong with Bon Scott.

Unless you drink like him, of course.

I'm currently listening to "House of Hair," Dee Snider's weekly program. I love my old cheesy hard rock.

The Royal Scam is my favorite Dan album.

I really like the renditions of Green Earrings on the Two Against Nature DVD and on the Alive in America CD.

Kid Charlemange is top-notch.

The only song I'm iffy on is Everything You Did.
Maybe a little to dark, I think, for my liking.

Wow! You were right. It was King Crimson.

I started a search to see if I could get a copy and sure enough....

I don't know what made me think it was Genesis.

Let me know how the Collective Soul CD is when you get it. I like that band a lot.

I agree with this 100%. Nirvana is the most overrated band in history, followed closely by the Doors who used to hold that title.

My baby's foolin' around with a satellite
Now you know that that ain't right
My love for her is gonna keep
Til she comes back and whispers 'beep beep'

My baby's foolin' with some space cat
That chick don't know where she's at
She better come on down here to earth and groove
Mmmmmmmmmm, I ain't gonna move....
