Calm placid waters...that's for me. Me too. I get motion sickness.
To: Corin Stormhands
Cool. Do they offer a parachute jump module as well?

Check this out. Raft in. Copter out. I like the look of that a lot!

Ahhh! That's a pontoon! Steve and I really want one of those someday. They aren't really all that expensive. You can even get them with "facilities"...a porta-potty like thing with a tent over it.
They're building a Bass Pro Shop right next door to my church...they'll have pontoons we can check out now and then!
A houseboat is just like an RV that floats, naturally. I suspect they're more expensive. I love one of them too, but gotta be reasonable.

LOL! I'm thinkin' finding a trip that caters to all the various phobias is gonna be tricky...
I'm easy....

Here's a thought...we could get a houseboat, pull it into the barn on our property, hook it up to a septic and water supply and live in it till the house gets built!

That'll work.
After hurricane Fran, my parent's neighbors camped out in an RV in their driveway for months while they waited for repairs and inspections.
To: HairOfTheDog
Me too. As long as it doesn't involve spiders, wrestling pythons, or eating weird stuff, I'm there.
Skydiving? Sure.
Rock climbing? Strap me in.
Hiking through miles of wilderness? Cool.
Rafting? Hand me a life jacket.
Of course I would not doubt be really, really lousy at all those things but nonetheless I'll try 'em.

Steve did the sheetrock and insulation on the interior of the shop. It looks great until I started rushing him...and it doesn't look too bad even then.
We could do a lot ourselves.

I'm not up for much of a hike or rock climb, but I think I'd do whatever Corin would do.

I see how you are.

We went camping with some friends once. Their sons are the same age as our older two. Mama came up and stayed with Clare and Joseph for that weekend. We rented a party boat and went out on Squam Lake in NH for a whole day. If you've ever seen the movie On Golden Pond, THAT'S Squam Lake. It is one of the loveliest locations I've even seen. We puttered around the edges of the lake for a while, then tied up at a pier on a little island in the middle of the lake that is a state park. From that island, we swam out to another smaller island to where SSQ motored around and picked us up.
It was a FUN day!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with my reasoning!
To: 2Jedismom
I'm thinkin it would be easier just to get a mobile home!
Save the party boat for your pond! ;o)

Yeah, yeah...
Seriesly tho, that's about the only way I'm gonna see the bottom of the canyon. And that one makes sense because you can do a week or less.
To: Corin Stormhands
Ok, Corin... so let's think of something for you to do that Hair will have to do, being bound by her word...
