Now that's not a thing to wake up to... sigh... I know none of my English friends or relatives live in London, thankfully, so I expect they're ok.
They won't! The English will take this as a wakeup call. Maybe they'll even become more supportive of the WoT. The English don't just roll over and let people kick them. No more than we do.
Remember, out of all of western Europe, England is the closest culturally and politically to us.

Well, I don't have English friends, at least, any that are still there. We have one friend in the saddle club who is a British import. She worries for people she knows.
The death toll is starting to climb now, as they get to more damaged areas and some of the seriously injured are found, but thankfully these seem like small explosives, and not tunnel-collapsing big ones.
Suicide bombers... the tactic of the pointless. Exactly what mental defect makes people think they will actually progress an agenda this way?
I don't know. It's just... some of those pictures are so wrong. Scenes of chaos and torment in front of buildings that I've seen before, pleaces I've wanted to go. It's like... 9/11 was an attack on us. Other terrorist attacks around the world are horrible but it's not so immediate. This feels like an attack on us again, I've got so many ties and connections to England. I dream about getting to visit London. This sort of thing isn't supposed to happen there.

Seeing that bus blown apart is really disturbing...I've ridden on a bus just like that when we were there.

Enzymes in light colored fruits such as apples, pears and peaches can cause oxidative browning as soon as the fruit is peeled or cut. Browning can cause loss of vitamin C. Because fruits are usually served raw they are not usually blanched to prevent this discoloration. Instead, chemical compounds are used to control enzymes in these fruits. The most common treatment is ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Ascorbic acid may be used in its pure form or in commercial mixtures of ascorbic acid and other compounds. Browning can also be halted temporarily by placing fruit in citric acid or lemon juice solutions or in sugar syrup. However, these measures are not as effective as treatment with ascorbic acid in its pure form. Apples, as well as other fruits, retain better texture and flavor if packed in sugar or sugar syrup. However, sugar is not necessary to safely preserve fruit. I've been hoping that 'next summer' I could go to England since I was 16. One of these summers, it'll happen.

I think this is just the way they're supposed to be...my apple butter I buy in the store is brown too, come to think of it. I guess brown peach butter is to be expected. Never had peach butter before though...
I went when I was in my early 20s. I'd really love to go back. The people were amazingly nice. I'd like to visit Germany again, too...

Oh well...guess it's supposed to be brown. Maybe if you added a bunch of food coloring?
