I always have a better use for $80, but I'll get around to it one of these months.
SSQ likes butter best of all, and so do I. Do you have any info on this new Enova brand oil? Supposed to not be metabolized as fat in the body.
Hey - what happened in the Religion Forum.... The conversation in there appears to be entirely Catholic - not that there's anything wrong with that ;~D
Did all the GRPLs go away mad again?
Everyone I know who's been to an Ethiopian restaurant had stomach flu the next day. I'll stick to Chinese, Indian, and other traditional foods of the geek people.
I dunno. Topic got around to the end times and seems a lot of people lost interest. I don't get into those threads, it's way too confusing for me.
Maybe it's just a summer lull.
Although I was tempted to go on that Freemason thread and say I thought it was the Calvinists who formed this country. (many of whom were also Freemasons)
I only know that it sounds highly processed. If you're looking for something that doesn't stick around as fat, look into coconut oil - it's closer to the source.
Such as pizza, snickers, and mountain dew. (at least that's my brother's signature geek cuisine - I go without the mtn dew)
(Frodo's on sale too)
Oh - I love a freemason conspiracy thread. I'll have to go find it. ;~D
Tell 'em the Calvinists sent you.
(later)
~thwack~
Mmm...pizza, Snickers and Mountain Dew...
Heh...I've been *badly* hooked on Mountain Dew a number of times. Haven't had it in awhile though. Luckily I don't like the diet stuff.
I'll go for pizza and snickers! Don't drink Mountain Dew...
First, an NCO from a AH-64 unit getting ready to deploy:

Thank you for sending the seatbelt cutter and shears along with the BK2. I was trying to get an all-in-one tool but, as you probably know, there is no such thing! I look forward to testing these and the Gerber you sent to my LT on some old belts we have. We are still using the older style survival vest (National Guard Unit) and have not received any of the MOLLE goodies. I have little hope that we will receive them before we get in country so thank you VERY much for helping us get items that are of real world use to soldiers. Pass alone to all the sponsors how much this means to us.

Next, a warrant officer from the same unit. Oh, and the sharpener he refers to is a Gerber V-type diamond sharpener. I found a deal on them for $2 each, so I bought 100. Have to think about maintaining our knives, too.
------------
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you, your organization, and Camillus Knife Co. for the exceptional knife, gun cloth and sharpening stone that you sent me. I am still amazed at the level of support that you offer to United States Military members. This will prove to be an invaluable tool I am sure during my upcoming deployment. Thanks again and keep up the great work. If there is ever anything I can do to help out please let me know.

Finally, an email from another of the Bandits. While I'm sure other troops have the same thoughts, he's the first one to absolutely nail it when it comes to what we do, and why we send only our very best.

Rick, Thanks a lot!!!!! I got that GREAT knife today in the mail. MAN! It's a beauty. I am gonna put it to good use, and when this is all over for me I am gonna someday pass this along to my son and let him know that I carried this perfect knife during the war. I'll see to it that it stays in my family for years. It already has sentimental value to me just for being here with me. I really appreciate everything. Your a GREAT American for supporting us who support you. Thank You.
SFC Shane L
Great letters, Rick, thanks so much!
The great letters come from great troops. I just pass them on, although it's my great pleasure to do so.
I've been thinking. For the first 600-or-so pocket knives, the response has always been "neat, thanks, this makes things easier and more convenient." Now we give away more "serious" knives, and the response is, "thanks, this will help me and my buddies get the job done better, and help get us back in one piece."
A perfectly logical response, but I find the implications staggering. I would have never dreamed of starting out this way, but we seem to be committed now.
You've got PayPal. :-D
Should make you feel good, Rick. We appreciate all the hard work YOU put into making these knives and other implements work so hard for our guys.
Evenin' folkses! :-)
