Sit down, John!
"Vote for independency!
I think I'll oooopen up a window."
Finished cutting in the corners. After lunch, the green bedroom will be no more.
Ugh... we just discovered that there was a water leak under our fridge. I'm hoping it was just that the drip-pan was not correctly seated in its position. The pan was a bit askew, and bone-dry. We're going to have to keep an eye on it. We certainly don't want to have to call the landlord - he'll probably send Mr. World's-Most-Annoying-Handyman again.
Happy 4th of July!!
Which handyman is this? Do tell!
Hopefully that's all there is to it. The floor under the fridge isn't "soggy," is it?
I haven't heard the sump pump go off so I don't know if my fix worked or not.
*Sigh* They're never going to marry that girl off if she keeps turning guys down like that.
Referring to Mr. Co...what was his name?
*shudder*
The actor did an awfully good job at making him completely and utterly unappealing.
She just turned down Mr. Darcy as well. So far she's 0 for 2.
This is the handyman that came to replace our water heater about a year and a half ago... kept blowing the problem out of proportion to the landlord, and telling them that they should just condemn the place (and this was the week before Christmas). And was going on and on to us about how he wouldn't let his daughter live in a place like this. Now, we know the place isn't much to look at, but it isn't ~that~ bad.
Since then, we've decided that we'll put up with a heck of a lot, or fix it ourselves, before we risk the landlord sending that clown again. Maybe that was their plan.
Well, the floor doesn't look soggy, but the bottom of the adjacent cabinet does. We just want this place to hold together a little longer till we can get some land of our own.
At the old house I had a leaky water heater. Got it replaced before the flooring was ruined.
Well, this guy had to replace the floor under the heater too. I think he just didn't want to have to work that hard.
The poor thing!
It wasn't exactly a surprise to me that the floor needed replaced. I called the landlord and told them that I could see the dirt under the house through the hole in the floor. I said the hot water heater appeared to only be held from crashing to the dirt by force of habit. ~Why~ he came not expecting to fix the floor is beyond me!
Trouble is, the water heater in trailers is only accessible through a panel that's screwed on in the back of the house, it's not like a home where it's visible in the garage and you know it's leaking.
Heh, house worries. I'm kinda glad to live in an apartment, half the hassles aren't there
I'm not a professional painter but I do a better job than whoever painted that apartment I was in.
I'm out of potato salad.
Back to theroom!
Heh... paint job here is ok...
