mmmmmmmmmmmmm... drugged... I'm sure they didn't mind...
our flippin' 2 1/2 y/o DVD player jest died...
I hate when that happens.
They don't know that they didn't miss anything ;~D
Yeah, finished 'em off. Not the best thing to watch three or four of just before bed. And now I've got too many questions.
Is there something wrong with me if Sawyer's my favorite character?
Got the gas, paint, and paint accessories.
Lunch first, then I'll cut the grass.
Painting for tomorrow.
Heh, probably not, he's a charming rogue.
My favorite character is Locke... I find it interesting that they're setting Locke and Jack up as opposite poles on a fate vs. free will compass....
I like Locke too. He's a little weird. And Hurley always makes me laugh. Don't really care for the female characters as much though once Claire's not being kidnapped or whatever every ten minutes she'll probably be cool.
I don't really like Jack. He's not a very complicated character. You never wonder what his reaction is going to be.
I'll admit I find Kate... interesting. Aside from being just slightly gorgeous, she has the whole "bad girl" thing going for her...

Interesting you should say that... have you noticed, that while Locke is the one saying that some destiny or fate brought them all to the island, he's also the one most loudly declaring his personal freedom ("Don't tell me what I can't do!") whereas Jack, who says he doesn't believe in fate or destiny, is the one who most willingly accepts his role on the island (hero/leader). You're right, you always know what Jack's reaction is going to be, because he almost never fights his role.
Jack may be the one to watch most closely, though... if there really is something mystical or supernatural happening on the island, Jack is most likely the one who will have to make the largest adjustments in his personal world-view...
Afternoon OT - shims are always a good idea.
LSA asks which color paint?
Kate's just a little too bad. She lost my sympathy when she shows up and disrupts the life of her old friend. And some of her actions on the show have been stupid. I don't get the feeling that she really cares much for anyone but herself. There's a really subtle difference between her and Sawyer, in that I don't think Sawyer cares about anything at all. When Kate does something nice, it's to make people like or trust her. When Sawyer does something nice - I dunno why. That's why he's the most interesting to me.
Locke's fun, all right... though his obsessions are a bit dangerous. He's opposite of Jack in another way too, Jack does whatever's necessary to take care of the individual but doesn't always see the big picture, while Locke's so busy looking at the big picture that ordinary people get hurt.
And tell me why nobody thought to, you know, destroy the heroin before Charlie came across it?
Guess what I found Friday evening?
Was cleaning out my kitchen cabinets, fly-ladying anything I didn't want and came upon some old tumblers that my dad gave me. I never use them because they say "DuPont" on them and were a perk from when he worked there years ago.
In the bottom of one was a real, live, Brown Recluse.
I washed it down the sink disposal before I thought to take a picture of it.
"Burmese Beigh." It's a taupe only without so much green tint like the one I was considering.
Want to get everything taped up today so I'll be ready to go tomorrow morning.
"Beige" I'm typing impaired today.
Yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck!
Heh...Steve was curious why it would live up there...
I wonder how it got there in the first place. And if it reproduced. But I wouldn't want to think about it...ugh!
I'm not afraid of too many things, but poisonous insects and spiders creep me out. It'd be just too easy to be bitten in the night without ever seeing the biter. *shudder*
As to Charlie, not everyone knew about his "little problem"... Locke knew, and I think Charlie told Hurley about it, but I don't remember who else might have known...
Because you never looked there.... They're reclusive. ;~D
