The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well, some of the occurences were the letters "liver" as part of another word, like deliver.

Bikes are great. And the places you can go and ride in CO will be a treat! Yep...pretty much ALL the major roads here have bike lanes. Nifty! Depending on where I get a job, I could ride to work some of the time. Also, the busses here have bike racks, so if I DID ride to work, I could always stick my bike on the bus if it started pouring and I didn't feel like riding home.

Buses with bike racks. What will they think of next?
To: RosieCotton
See? THAT'S the way it should be done.
You'd have to be crazy, stupid or brave as heck to ride a bike on the roads here.

Buses with bike racks. What will they think of next?Welcome to Colorado!
They're rather fond of bikes here. You can't go a mile in any direction without hitting some sort of bike shop. And the bigger parks have LOTS of bike paths. We'll have to explore those...
I want to do some fairly laid back mountain biking in the not-too-distant future. I don't do tricky single-track, but there are plenty of other trails available!

Yep...it's a very bike friendly town!
I'm still scared to pieces of riding near any traffic. Hopefully I can get over that with time. Right now, I just plan to explore back roads.

Buses with bike racks. What will they think of next? Here in Austin, the liberal idiot (idiot liberal?) bus company came up with the brilliant idea of putting loaner bikes on the front of their buses. The idea was, people who needed a ride from the bus stop would borrow a bike, then bring it back when they next got on the bus, leaving it for the next person to use.
They were surprised when all of the bikes disappeared.

Good news about the liver! I saved 39 cents!
We have bike racks on the Tulsa buses too.

LOL!
The lack of common sense in the liberal mindset never ceases to amaze me.

I am watching a Jackie Chan flick. I left my own bike at the shop today to get tuned up.

The liberal shenanigans here in Austin are a constant source of amusement.
