Yikes! Lookit the time, I gotta go.
We're seeing "Evita" tonight.
Heh. "Texas Road Kill" reminded me of the drive down to g'nad's. OB says,"Wow! Dead armadillo this far north? Musta been a mild winter." or something to that effect.
"Don't cry for me, Corin Stormhands"
I'm completely astounded. I mean, I haven't even thought about it in YEARS! I haven't hardly been back since I left and moved to Austin after nursing school.
I didn't like the way life was going during that time of my life...Moving to Austin was the best thing I ever did.
I saw one run across the road (I missed) juat a mile or two from the 'nad's place.
I love 'em. They have bad eyesight. They used to walk right by Matthew and I when we lived on the river. We'd just sit quiet and watch 'em snuffling go by.
I've eaten 'em. In chili. I wouldn't now, knowing what I know!
Ouch, that's gotta hurt! Something sprained or will it be better after some rest and ibuprofin?
Lead paint? Well, just don't lick the walls...
They'll probably send you to a chiropractor to get beaten into shape.
Gah, made the serious mistake of taking a walk to B&N in bad socks. Thought these were the good ones - go figure, I put them on before my caffeine this morning. Now my feet will be sore for two days. Oh well, that's two mild cardio this week.
And just found out my dad will be in Denver on business next week, so I get to see him. He wasn't going to tell me because he didn't want me to feel obligated to come say hi. Silly man.
Ha! I just checked out this job alert for Steve.

Dang near need those paddles, Ruthy!
Hoooo-boy, lookit that salary. You can buy plenty of chickens with that, sis. *grin*
Heh heh!
I can't even imagine it.
But then again, Austin is vey expensive to live in...all those "progressives" you know...
~sigh~ Ain't that the truth.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
The happiest day of my life will be when I see Miami for the last time in my rear view mirror.
BTW, you didn't mind me stealing a line from your post the other day for a tagline, did ya? :-D
No! It's a compliment! I love it.
Here's another position...

IIRC, this is a pretty area of Texas...
Doncha hate it when they don't post the salary? It's a big pet peeve of mine from back in my recruiting days.
How do you expect to attract qualified applicants if you aren't willing to tell them what they'd be making?
Yeah, it's irritating. Why waste our time? Even a ballpark figure would be nice.
...and then they want a salary history.
Exactly.
It's gotten so ALL companies do that. You can check the Sunday paper and the only jobs that actually list the pay are the $8/hr jobs.
Lot of good that does.
You know, this may sound silly, but on the one hand, I'm very excited about Steve finishing, but on the other hand, I'm very anxious about what it might mean. I mean, in the past, when we had to move, it was no big deal...we were never really unpacked! But we are entrenched in this house and I don't know how on earth to move something like this!
So I alternate between excitement/impatience and anxiety/dread!
