*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I gotta run, too. It's time for me to take the older girls to tae kwon do and pick up the younger ones at the same place. They're in different age group classes, unfortunately.

No,I'm not going this weekend. My husband is taking down his electrician buddy to wire the barn. I plan on going down next weekend.

Waylon has shoes on his front feet and none on his back. He was fine down there. There are some rocky trails but mostly they are fine.

I just got back from a car ride. Dang! That is only a few miles from where I am at!

My husband is a mechanic and I asked him about your gas gauge problem and he didn't think $82 was unreasonable to diagnose it. He said it could be a number of problems and it takes time to figure out what is wrong with it. Just my two cents.

Don't worry, I am fine. I made a trip up to Cleveland, almost to Shepherd, so when the plane crash happened I wasn't in Conroe.

Thanks.... I appreciate the perspective. I never know if I am being given a fair price or the woman price, lol... you and he may be right... the question then becomes whether having the gas gauge fixed is worth a couple hundred dollars... I guess it probably is, but I had a prior car where it was busted too.... and got along nicely by refilling based on mileage.

Hi guys. I'm back from the barn. It's brutally hot out today. I had a really really good ride today. Dressage is so unbeliveably different from hunter jumper, and I have to say that I like dressage a whole lot better because it lets you use your body a lot more. I worked on collection and impulsion today, and worked on some more subtle points. Took it easy beacuse it was so hot.
