Becky,
You can put her on Regumate through her pregnancy and she will carry full term most likely. That's what we did with Farah. The vet will probably recommend this if she doesn't seem to have enough progesteron.

Whew... all that is making me tired reading it. My goal today is to catch up on laundry. I think every single thing is dirty, we used it all this weekend and I did no laundry.

We talked about you this weekend.... this was such a marathon weekend for us, to go on three trail rides in four days. We're achy, I'm sure the horses are just as achy. Even though we took it pretty easy! So they get a couple days off now, before we do any of the home exercises we talked about.

But we talked about you saying "she rides every day! sometimes twice!" We aren't in that kind of shape.

Nice pictures Sharn! Thunder is really pretty. I couldn't tell much about Adge from that distance, but he sure seems to be long-legged. I'll bet he's going to be a tall boy. Thanks for the post!

Oh, and I know how you feel about not being able to get decent pictures for having the horses all over you. I've had to resort to putting all of mine except the subject horse in the barn and then tying the subject to something. I've even had to resort to throwing my hat or an umbrella or something out in front of them to get them to perk up their ears and look in the right direction. If anybody sees me, I'm sure they think I'm crazy!

Great pics Hair! That's funny about Bay and the white rock. You could tell he was still giving it "The Eye" as he was walking by it by the way his ear was cocked towards it. He had one ear on the camera and one on the rock but it looked like he was being a good sport about it. Cyn looks like she's coming right along with her mud puddle phobia. Most of my horses don't like them either, I guess coz they can't see the bottom. Ecurbh looks like he's handling her pretty well though.

Bay's funny... he always goes, but he'll pick out stuff like that rock, or a peculiar log, and make a big deal out of it... I think he just likes to snort and blow.

LOL.

That was the first thing my farrier asked me when he got here today, Jenny was still here and he said "Did the old woman survive the clinic:)". I actually survived it better then the girls did. I got tired, but nothing really hurt or got sore.

I never forget to be thankful that I have a husband that doesn't care how much I'm out on the horses, and live where I can do what I love to do so much so easily, and the time to do it. I always told the judges at CTR's, that if my horses showed any signs of not being in condition, they should mark off twice the amount of points, because there is no excuse for my horses to not be in condition.

Oh, and hang in there, if you keep doing your marathon rides, you'll get in shape.

What kind of home exercises are you going to do?

Rusty is my snorter:). He is always "looking" for something, and if nothing unusal pops out, he'll bow up at something he's been by 100 times. Silly horses.

I tell ya, it was a test of will power to even go at all yesterday, we were so tired, but I'm really glad we did.

Friday was a good ride, but Bruce was a little frustrated by Cyn taking him off through the shrubs around puddles at the end... so combined with having to turn around before the falls because of the bear, and ending on a maddening note, it left us weary.... and the ride with Tiff was confused and wandering, like rides with her are... and ecurbh's sinuses were blowing up so were bad. Yesterday was just a pleasure... just us, no one else, and we took the time needed to really get Cyn on track with the mud. She's good, she just needs to be made to do it. And ecurbh needed to know he ~could~ make her do it. It was a great ride, and a victory.

What kind of home exercises are you going to do?

Leg yielding for ecurbh and Cyn... and us too, I guess! Turning, sidepassing and backing obstacles... I think we'll set out some poles to navigate through, backwards and sideways... and maybe, run the hose in the middle of them just to make it muddy and interesting ;~D

And I want Bay have weight on him a couple times a week. He did pretty well, but he was obviously tired Saturday. He was strong yesterday, but not 100%.

I'm looking forward here in a few minutes to getting out there on Rusty. His feet are all trimmed, nice, and he did do a little better yesterday. I didn't push him so much to walk out faster because his hooves were long, I just worked on getting him to bend with leg pressure. He acted like he'd for got how to do it. But after awhile yesterday he was doing alot better.

It's funny, how you can really be dreading going out, then land up having more fun. Those are the things I think about when I find my self not wanting to go. I've ridden with people before who you really can't relax around. It does wear you out:) Maybe when you ride with Tiff, you should drink a beer or two:), might help, does me:)

You know if I had to trailer somewhere to ride, I probably wouldn't do it so often. Trailering adds a whole demension of work to an already full work load just to have fun.
