In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
Adjective combining form
Pronunciation: Zoic
Etymology: [Greek] (zoicos) Of or pertaining to animals
1) Animal: having an animal mode of existence: animal life and action.
2) Of or relating to a (specified) geological era.
I guess we could say Hobbes1 is a tigerzoic humanoid. So sorry, Tiger. It was a low fast ball.
You can use any root word for the zoic. Just make it sound like we know what were writing.
there is nothing to hit but the rating of it. it has the description, lots of empty space, then the rating chart - -nothing else.
If you're not seeing arrows or buttons just above the ratings chart, and a rectangle for the video above those, I have no idea what's wrong. Sorry again.
There is no button-I scrolled all the way down and nada-empty space, then the chart, but that is all.
Then I guess I'd better not mention that at first glance I thought you were FORMER Congressman Martin Frost (how I love being able to refer to him as FORMER Congressman!), or you will really go around the bend.
Construction Worker, Indian, Cop, Cowboy, Leather Dude - I got me plenty-o-outfits
Well, when I was young, I somehow seemed to resemble John-boy.
Time fixed that.
Aw, don't be mean to patton-Martin Frost looks like some sort of sinister wimp from a James Bond spoof-patton don't look like a wimp-doesn't look very sinishter, either, to me...
LOL, no way I look like that. I have hair.
Put your hat on Frost, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Although I'll grant it is quite a stretch to envision Martin Frost(enkowski) donning manly lumberjack attire and a cap like yours and doing any real work.
well, that's not very flattering. LOL.
I'm enjoying the mesozoic drawings (by my girlfriend Zoe, in Mesa, Arizona).
thank God I am not alone.
I sold one of my glass punchbowls w/ cups to one of my neighbors-she was right behind me when I pulled in the driveway from work and mentioned seeing all the boxes out at the end of our driveway when she went to work yesterday (we are all nosy out here, it seems). When I told her I'd been putting away stuff I'd forgotten I had, didn't need, and that I even had two nice glass punchbowls, she insisted on seeing them. Then having seen, she said she needed one for the monthly luncheons she gives at her house for a ladies group at the Presbyterian church she attends. She's bringing me $50.00 for it and the cups that go with it later this evening. Since it was a gift to me, I've no idea how much a thing like that costs, but I'll take $50.00 any day over having something I don't need...
Side note: At work today someone had printed out a bunch of pictures of signs and labels for some business conference that was formerly the Congressman Martin Frost Small Business Conference or something like that with instructions to CHANGE all the signs and labels to the "Crosstimbers Small Business Conference" or whatever it was. Anyway, when I saw the document on the table by the printer it gave me GREAT JOY that a name change for the conference was necessitated by the last election. We finally de-Frosted the House of Representatives.
Oh well, I guess I'm a bit of a sick puppy on the celebrity look-alike associations. One of my best friends and I have an on-going game of pointing out celebrity lookalikes that we encounter in public.
Oh...not fair! Patton has LIPS...and a CHIN. Also, nice workman-like hands. Also, he can't put the hat on Frost 'cause his dad stole it.
"de-Frosted"
LMAO!
