"Hi,
My name is Amanda Twellman-Dieppa, I am 22 years old and I have cancer. I was diagnosed when I was 16 years old, went through chemo and radiation and was in remission until I relapsed when I was 19 years old. I went through a grueling stem cell transplant and received my lifetime amount of radiation and once again went into remission until February 25, 2005."

Prayers for Amanda!
...my life is not their priority.
...the hearts and minds of those who are mistaken that business comes before saving a life.
Mean ol' pharmaceutical company!
A quick review of Medarex's site indicates that CD30 is a problem, not a cure, that is addressed by their MDX-060 drug (That is based on a quick read... I could be mistaken). In fact, it appears that all of their products begin with MDX and that their products are all antibodies (not chemotherapies)....I'm betting this whole thing is a fraud and is just another pharmaceutical company bashing party. "Amanda" probably doesn't even exist.
Hugh Hewitt was talking about this yesterday. There's still a lot of missing information, but from what I've seen so far, it looks ligit.

Although I agree whole heartedly about the tort reform, I am always suspicious of these sorts of sob stories. Cynical I guess.
In the last little while, I have found my way to "Amanda's" site. The MDX-060 is cited by her "father" there but I'm still not sure that the whole thing smells right.
If this all proves legit, I'll stand corrected....but no less suspicious.
