Bummer about the fire.
Don't tell LL. She likes those things........
How's the gulf? Have you read all those stoopid warnings about "the worst storm season ever on the way"?
HA! They can't even predict Memorial Day two days off....
Hmmmmmmmmm.......do you have a multiple species water and dry land trap? Delivered by Acme?

Don't ask questions if you can't handle the answers......
Yep, they are pulling out all the stops in one more attempt to make everyone believe that the "Day After Tomorrow" is headed our way. The weather folks have been shrieking "hurricane--be prepared!" for days.
I hope you put a lime in your gin and tonic. And don't set it on your computer again. LOL
I am in a simular situation waiting for my diability insurance and do get those offer......it is criminal that one has to try to entice the disable.......my Visa debit card has the same advatage as the CD and no high interest.....:)
Good evening folks! Goodness it's been a while since I've checked in here, thought I better let y'all know I was still alive and kickin'.
Traveled for the better part of two days to visit the inlaws in Very Smalltown USA. Mr. Prairie went to his school alumni reunion (I went too and was a good sport about it!) Saw relatives, was visited by others and was consistently fed mass amounts of mother-in-law's good ol' home-cooking. :^D
Attended the Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery, which had a little rain at the time, but the crops needed it so nobody complained. And I remarked to my daughter how so many of our servicemen suffered for lots longer periods in time in horrible weather when they were serving their country, that surely we could put up with a little chilly wind and rain sprinkles. Father-in-law is a veteran and stood up with the veterans at the ceremony. He had tears in his eyes afterward. I helped the inlaws plant 14 pots of flowers to take to the graves for that day. It was nice to go to a Memorial Day ceremony again.
All in all, a good trip and I hope that others here had a wonderful holiday weekend as well.
Good to see you!
Got myself lost for a few days.
Spent Memorial Day in quiet contemplation.
(There wasn't much going on in my immediate area, YUG!)
Quiet can be good too. It had been years since I'd been to a ceremony on Memorial Day, where the local veterans fire a 21 gun salute, lay a wreath at a symbolic Grave of the Unknown and the town runs up somewhere upward of 100 American flags on flagpoles around the cemetery. One for every veteran that's buried there.
It was stunningly beautiful. Even with a little rain...
I thought I was talking to Gran.................BWDIK?
Be prepared for the normal life I guess......
Gotta love the fear mongering. The sky is falling after all.......
This is not a good sign for a wraith.
Guess who didn't get paid again...
