It's a man made freshwater lake and it would have to be a very determined/motivated shark to jump all the dams to get up here. The SCARIEST things we've got for toes are gar, water moccasins, and snapping turtles. The WORST things in the lake for toes are empty beer cans, broken glass, rusty nails, fish hooks....you know...the regular flotsam & jetsam.
But I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if we had a stray alligator or two around here...

Although alligators can be just as bad....kind of a lake shark.

Oopsie - I thought, for whatever goofy reason, thought that you were on the Gulf side.
IC cheers back there.

" If I ate that for lunch I'd grow sideways." Sickening, isn't it? Just a few minutes ago I was thinking about how much I long to just sit down and eat anything I want for a meal and not worry about it being fattening. I was even thinking how much I would enjoy a breakfast sandwich from Sonic. Been years since I had a breakfast sandwich....anywhere. It is a curse to never be able to eat most of the things you like. Tuna, rice cakes and salad get exceedingly boring. Even when I eat out, it's salad (or taco salad if I'm splurging), the occasional barbecue (no bun) with cobbler for dessert, or $2's worth of food off a $9 buffet. I can't even enjoy sweet tea without guilt...and ill effect.

Ageing pretty much sucks, Libby.
Trust me, on this one.
I'm now looking at the Champion Juicer to get our nutrients.
Little or no tasty glop in the loddy household - sigh.
Go for a BlueThingie, on me.
Cheers.

I just got home from work a little while ago. Had a late day. I have to go to Little Rock in the morning and still have some work to do tonight. I don't have the opprotunity to post a lot any more.

It's not the age, Loddy. It's the disproportional vertical/horizontal ratio. We petite types are not so much "vertically challenged" as horizonatally challenged.

I've seen some pretty wide tall people in my day......not exclusively a "short" problem.

No, not exclusively a short problem, but every ounce is more noticeable on a small frame, and it takes far less calories to maintain a smaller frame, so it's a double whammy.

WEll, maybe, but I don't think it's that pronounced. Short girls have the "spunky" factor while tall wimmin have to fight the gawky look. They are a bit more self conscious and have bigger self image problems IMHO.
Short is good......

Who said anything about turning back time? I have always had to be careful what I eat because of my height.

Oh, I always liked being short, just not having to be so weight conscious. On the up side, I can bend over and touch the floor with flat palms right in front of my toes (not that there's much demand for such a skill, except to drive tall people nuts) and I can still easily hop on the counter to reach the upper shelves in the cabinets (which is often useful).

Do you run or do any exercise regimen? I find that helps a lot.
