We could find out today if the runaway bride, who ended up in Las Vegas, will face criminal charges for lying to police about being kidnapped.

News 3's Kirstin Linquist reports that she could spend up to five years in prision, pretty bad yes, but that's nothing compared to what she is facing from friends and family.

Wilbanks is staying out of sight at her parent's house but is expected to finally make a statement today.

A question she may answer is was this planned? We found out that the ticket to Las Vegas was purchased days before she disappeared.

While in Las Vegas, Wilbanks stayed at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Sources close to News 3 say she used her fiancees last name when she checked in.

The two were have supposed to marry that Saturday.

it didn't mislead me. "Runaway bride" is also the title of a popular movie where julia roberts plays a woman famous for having cold feet at the last second. I knew exactly what it meant.

I had to go to the Dictionary. You're right. Fiance is a male, and Fiancee is female!

Wasn't there a movie with Elizabeth Shue that details what you are saying?

have you ever been to vegas? off season mid-week room rates can be as low as $30 a night, depending on the hotel. it can be done.

No, I think you're thinking of Leaving Las Vegas, starring Shue and Nicholas Cage. he goes to vegas to kill himself by drinking himself to death, and meets her. one of the strangest, saddest movies I've ever seen.

Correct, her story is falling apart all over the place. So instead of staying at the bus station, she was at a luxury casino? hmmmm....

Three to five years for a false call to 911? Hardly.

I thought as a grown up you had the right to get up and disappear. Its a free country.

FOX News is killing me with this STOOPID story.

I've stayed at Treasure Island...walking in off the street, I'm sure the room rate would have been exhorbitant vs. a reserved room, especially via internet. Even with a credit card, she would have used up her "traveling money" fairly quickly.

This is to me more evidence that this whole thing was planned....and not very well, I might add.

Yeah, I wish the media would find some term other than "Runaway Bride" to refer to her. Makes the whole mess sound glamorous or romantic or something. It isn't any of the above.

FOX NEWS knows that people will watch it. Tragedy and controversy sell.

You want FOX NEWS to stop playing the same story ad nauseum?

Stop watching fox news whenever the story airs. If enough people did that, they'd get the message.

You think she and hubby could have staged the whole thing for media attention?
