And will you ever answer my questions here?

I've emailed. I've called. I've done all these things. Thusly the frustration.

Yes, of course this is a vanity thread. But I am encouraged to see the number of people who are as fed up as I am, and I hope the Republicans take notice. Then some good will have come of it.

If the Democrats take over the Presidency, Senate, House etc...you will be reminded in very short order why flawed as Republicans may be, they are truly our only choice.

"the stand on Terry Schiavo"

What are you talking about, the GOP killed Terri, the entire freaking govenment was GOP and Terri is dead. Her dead body is covered with GOP finger prints.

Agreed. They were all eating their Easter dinners (and every other meal) while Terri lay dying. Their so-called vote was for "show" only; absolutely nothing came of it (and they knew it wouldn't).

Jeb Bush was totally ineffectual, as was the President. And nobody took a stand. Am I to understand that a whole team of government lawyers couldn't come up with one plan to save a woman from being judicially murdered?? At that point I lost all hope for the Republican Party and for the country.

I agree with your whole post except I haven't lost hope for the country yet.

Limbaugh is saying that Frist isn't caving. Frist knows he has the upper hand on this one. Compromise would be stupid.

They're politicians; they have no principles. Look how hard Bush pushed his massive spending, massive debt and assaults on the First Amendment.

I resigned from the party before Bush43. I am ashamed to say I voted twice for him. His legacy will be better remembered in social circles, than in conservative ones...

What's the difference in these three? None can compete with the Gipper, but Clintoon acted more like a conservative than W! He just liked to sell the company store... I wonder what's for sale now?

Limbaugh might have the inside scoop. In which case, this will be my response.

"Outstanding! If there is no deal, I will return to the Republican party. Very uneasily, very skittishly, and I will need a few more victories before I'll feel comfortable. But perhaps the phone calls and emails are starting to make a difference. I'm not egotistical enough to believe that a thread on FR made a difference, but I bet you all the people who responded here have emailed and called, and that DID make a difference."

"If the Democrats take over the Presidency, Senate, House etc..."

They already have. It was only a few weeks ago when I said the same thing as you just told me but the republicans alone have destroyed my confidence.

Well, you live for attention, good or bad, I am just helping you out.

I live for political results. If any one dares post a vanity, the immediate response from certain clownish factions is "attention whore". Eff them and if you are one of them, you too.

I'm happy that this thread got so many people out to speak about this issue. I hope the Republicans take notice. I really don't give a fig about what you or anyone else thinks of me, I just care if Republicans act like conservatives. If I have to take some arrows from certain creeps in the process, so be it.
