I wish. I'm still looking for our own place but it is hard finding something we can afford around here , that is what I want but I'm still looking. I've taken a weekend job and saving for a larger down payment to get payments we can manage. If I found a place today though it would still take time to get set up.

As for a foal, I won't breed SL until we do have a place that I know I can put them on by the time the filly is six months. I'm not going to board 3 horses.

I'd worry about good turnout for the foal. I wouldn't want to have a foal that couldn't be given lots of safe turnout... and I wouldn't want to be in a position of a boarder that can't control the group she's in.

Are you doing this foal just for the fun of it? Would you sell the foal then or ???

I work for a national bank as a mortgage loan officer and believe it or not , we just came out with a 40 Yr. mortgage. Can you believe it !!!!!!!! It would make your payments more manageable. I'm sure there is a bank around you that will be offering it. Worth a look...Who stays in a house 40 yrs. anyhow ?

Don't breed SL until you know you'll have a place to put her on before the baby is born. She'll need extra feed and nutrients the last three months - then you want her to have a safe place to get out with the baby, where she doesn't have to worry about protecting it or fighting off other mares.
