If you visit any of the AI boards, you'll find that pre-teen and young teenage girls adore Constantine. Look for Anthony, possibly Scott and Nikko, and at least one more girl to go before him.
All of the AI online polls have Carrie and Bo as the top picks, so they have to be the favorites right now to be the final two.
I think Scott is a far better singer than Reuben. In fact, I think on pure vocals, Scott is the best male singer in this year's competition. Unfortunately, Scott doesn't have Reuben's natural warmth, ease and charisma.
Scott is not a bad-looking guy, but he has a round face made too full due to his weight. His too-full cheeks squint up his eyes, which makes it that much harder for him to make eye-contact with his audience. If there was some way he could soften his appearance and relax more on stage, that would help him a lot.
The one ep I remember was one of the brides was Jewish and the town made a special effort to find her a Jewish husband. They finally located a lumberjack Jew who kept kosher. Cute story.
He pops up whenever there's a Monkees reunion tour. And he did voiceovers on a cartoon series for the Cartoon Channel a few years ago.
I agree with your hopes for the final four--Bo, Carrie, Scott, Jessica.
Nadia certainly has all the makings of an Idol, but she shot herself in the foot this week. I doubt that she'll be able to recover.
Lt. Dan has more act than talent. He'll be here a while (which will provide us with a lot of laughs), but I predict he'll be the gone by the end of April.
I hope Scott survives as long as possible. I'm under no delusion that he'll win and, to his credit, I don't think he is either. What he wants more than anything (I think) is to have a successful career after the show and the longer he stays in the competition the more likely that will happen.
BTW, I'm in chapter 3 of Ari's book. So far it's not a page-turner. But it's interesting how he describes the transition to life in the White House and the sudden attention he received from the media. I just wish he'd pick up the pace a little.
Talk to you later :) God bless.
Jonny
That was my problem with the book -- I guess what I meant by "dry." He never does pick up the pace, although the book is more interesting when he gets to 9/11 and its aftermath.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't "get" Jessica at all. As far as I'm concerned, she'll be gone before the final five are set. Bo and Carrie are the current favorites, I'd look for Anthony to join the top four if he can put it together at all. The fourth choice is up in the air. It should be Scott, but popularity counts more than voice a lot of the time, so Nadia or Anwar could join that group.
Of course, the competition is tight enough that anyone is capable of going after a bad week. Now that the two real misfits have been eliminated, the game is well and truly on.
It sure is. BTW, regarding Anthony, if the AI boards are any guide, he's not too popular. Simon didn't do him any favors weeks ago when he deliberately said Anthony reminds him of Clay Aiken, except Anthony is not as good as Clay. Simon is very shrewd.
I never understood how Rueben won..MHO was/is that he is not very talented and Clay out performed him night after night....and you are right about Scott softening is appearance...it's too late to grow hair but he could change his glasses and stop wearing the big baggy clothes that make him even look bigger....and he doesn't smile much either...
Me, neither.
Re Scott -- his lack of warmth is the only thing standing between him and possible success in the music business. He may very well be a warm, nice guy, but he doesn't project it. It's a shame. The kid has talent.
I noticed that too.....not smiling much.
In fact last nite, he was looking skyward and seemed to be praying when Seacrest was reciting the things said about him by the judges.
But even after he was safe, he still didn't smile and for awhile kept looking up. People want to see joy on people's faces. IMO
I can't believe I missed 'The Apprentice'! Who got fired?
Carrie sings a song with feeling. She has soul. I love to listen to her.
Im sorry I forgot her name...she's the young dark hair lawyer that flirts with Trump.
OH! My all time favorite movie is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers!! I have my own copy now and watch it at least a dozen times a year. I love Adam and Benjamin (although he was just a pretty boy who didn't dance :). Why can't they make corny, sweet musicals any more?
What in the world do they see in him? Oh my he's not at all good looking.... and that goofy look he's always giving makes me naseous. :( Ok. I'm done being mean for a moment.
OOps. That's a different movie than the one I am in love with. :) Mine's the sappy musical. :)
LOL!
They do, but they're all animated. Try Barbie's The Princess and the Pauper, it's a delightful animated musical fairy tale.
