Wondered where you were :) Carrie's first song was a Dixie Chicks number "pass the ammunition" something or other, but she did a good job with it. Second song is "If You Don't Know Me By Now". Not good at all. The judges hated it.
Bo was WEAK on his first song. Travis Tritt.
To: Howlin
Simon blames the Band!
Wow!
But you have to admit, she didn't get it done. But her combined score gives her a B-.

I thought the band was too loud last week, too.

dang.....that's not good. It was definitely not her song....

Randy's wrong, Paula's drunk, and Simon is deaf...
I thought Carrie knocked it out of the park! That high note was perfect! And she even did the long note on the key change and didn't go flat once!
Maybe the judges took her down a bit for the sympathy vote.
She's got my vote! (But she always has)

Every week the audio is a mess. They usually have it in check by the recap. Go figure.
To: Howlin
WOW!! Carrie takes it upside the head from all the judges!
DAMN! I didn't think it was very good either.

I don't know ... I think they're preparing to prop up Vonzell.
To: TonyWpi; Howlin
Oh that's crap. Simon rips into Carrie, and says NOTHING to Vonzelle about how she sucked.
The song may have been boring, but her voice is perfect. Range fantastic.

Sorry I'm late!
Is it just me or does it seem that ALL of the contestants should be doing much better considering that they are the final four?

Simon blames the orchestra! I wish she could have done that song with just a piano or acoustic guitar. Just a simple arrangement to highlight her voice.

Carrie was a little weak...but not as bad as the judges say...Simon blamed the band......getting Carrie to sing soul is like Vonzell singing C&W....it ain't gonna work..
To: TonyWpi
Carrie has a true voice.
But she disappeared behind the mike and the orchestra. And I don't think the song, which is supposed to be smokey and bluesey, fit her well.
But she was all right.

I'd say B+. Her low notes on the verses were drowned out by the band. But she nailed the high notes...I believe that last note was a high Bb.

I don't think I've ever seen a judge take the musicians to task before like that on this show...
To: TheMom; freedumb2003
I think Fantasia's screeching, er, performance a few weeks ago when she returned was the worst thing I've heard on AI.
