I would refer you to my #4,716.
I have no problem with giving these men second chances as long as they BOTH are treated equally.
That's fine. But I was responding to your post at 4711, where you asked about why an investigator wouldn't show for a case. I don't believe I was dissing Scott by responding to that post.
Also his preacher from his church was on and said that Bo is not perfect but that he has turned his life around completely.
Scott deserves the same consideration which is why I refered you.
Thanks...you always have good links.
Happy to oblige..my daughter sends them to me..next week should be a hoot and a holler..with Scott..Bo's criminal record, and the ABC show on Paula..the singing is NOW tertiary..
They're probably digging into Carrie's past...
hope she's never indulged in cow tipping or
any other such farmyard felonies.
And Vonzelle... hope she never 'went postal'
And Anthony...well you know those Ukranian commie connections.
I think Laura Ingram's book says it best:
"Shut Up and [let them] Sing."
I personally don't think that website and any others like it could swing the votes as much as they claim. AI says it's been receiving over 35,000,000 million votes (obviously not necessarily from 35,000,000 individuals). Dividing 35 million equally among the top six finalists produces 5,833,333 per contestant.
AI has never released the weekly totals or percentages for any contestant. But the percentages are what would help everyone understand all this better.
For example, the most recent AOL polls on the last six AI contestants had Bo and Carrie at 35% each. If that's really how the actual vote totals break down, that's 70% between just two contestants -- or 30% (10.5 mil based on a total of 35 mil) unequally divided among the bottom four people.
Understood in this way, a relatively few votes easily could separate the bottom two each week -- perhaps as litte as a few hundred or a few thousand. The spread between the bottom contestants might be as little as a fraction of one percent of the total votes cast each week, and certainly is not much greater than a couple of percentage points.
The differences at the bottom easily are explainable as the result of random weekly swings in the number of fans for a given contestant who were able to get through on the phone lines. The fact that many people vote for more than one candidate each week -- and vote multiple times each week -- further complicates the picture.
FYI.."dead" posted the article as a separate thread..and it's got nearly 200 replies...everyone wants to crash OUR party..I'll ping you on the thread..fun to scroll down..
????? You're joking, right?
I met Fabio. He's pretty and ultra smooth, hardly qualities that Constantine shares. IMO, he looks scruffy, like a rat weasel, like a guy who will never smell right no matter how much cheap cologne he pours on. Not a bad performer, but not a guy who would appeal to romance-obsessed women. If he had been, he would not have been voted off.
Smarmy, thy name is Constantine.
I saw Fabio walking into a Gold's Gym in LA once.
Whooee...nothing like Constantine.
Constantine was on Leno briefly last night.
He looked small.
Personally, I thought Bo should go even before his arrest info came out. IMO, he's dull, he's limited, he's not an exciting performer. He seems beige to me, a pale imitation of more talented singers. There are hundreds of guys like Bo in LA, playing around town at smaller clubs, some even playing for handouts on Venice Beach.
The very young kids, tomorrow's audience, are probably voting for Anthony, who seems to have enough talent for professional trainers and coaches to work with. He could become a competent singer of songs in his range, which is not a bad range. And he's cute. He could be featured in a Disney movie perhaps.
Vonzelle has the fire to take her to stardom, a strong though uneven voice, but also needs professional training.
Carrie is strictly Country.
Scott? Fat Ruben looked much worse on stage, IMO, but had a better voice. With months at a health spa and the right handlers, Scott could turn pro, though stardom seems out of his reach.
If I were a judge, especially one who had a financial interest in the careers of the winners, I'd want to keep Anthony and Vonzelle around til the end. They're engaging and seem to have talent enough to develope, encourage, and further.
Hey, did you get Fabio's autograph? Can he write?
I saw Ahnold in Gold's Gym back in the day before anyone outside of bodybuilder circles knew his name. Stupid me, I turned down an hour of personal training with him cuz it cost $50, a lot in the early '70s. Every time I look at my cellulite, I regret that decision, LOL.
"Smarmy" is a great term for Constantine. I wonder what four hours a day at Gold's Gym would do for him.
Probably kill him.
I think as each week goes by the vftw site will have less impact.
Isn't THAT the truth! If they ran the CBS special opposite of AI it would hard to choose which to watch.
I agree. Each week that person's votes have to go some place and that is x amount more votes that vftw site has to make. I doubt they can do it.
