Thank you! I'll celebrate with you if Anthony wins too. I think he sings very well and he has my vote for most improved each week. Next week I plan to vote many times for my top 3 faves, Bo, Carrie and Anthony.
Man all we had was fluff pieces on our news tonight. Not much crime to report unless it was around the world. The amazing part to this is that it's a large city, Birmingham.
Well Scott lives in Chicago. I am sure he has a fairly large fan base right there. Also Scott has a large ethnic fan base...more so than Vonzell from what I gather.
No not to the competition. When they were trying to pick the final 12 they brought back a group of 10 who had not been voted on for the finals. Amazingly enough Clay Aiken was in this group because Kimberly was voted for over him. Once the final 10-12 are chosen though that is it. No one is brought back unless a contestant quits or is removed. Then they do like they did with Nikko and bring back the one that has the 2nd most votes.
I understand. If Carrie were kicked off last night, I would be outraged too. But in the end, it doesn't matter who wins or loses the competition. If they have talent and a good business acumen, the "losers" will become winners long after the show is over.
BTW, I think the only way to stop the vendetta voters is to charge everyone for their vote, say like 50 cents per call. It won't stop them, but it will slow them down.
I thought he and his parents said they were from Shaker Heights, Ohio.
In the first season, AI had finally sifted down to the TOP TEN when it was discovered that one contestant (can't remember the name) had lied about his age. The limit back then was 24 or 25 and this guy was 29. So they booted him and brought back semi-finalist E.J. Day. He could barely sing, though, and was voted off the first night of the finals.
In season 2 (and maybe 3), the judges had a "second chance" group perform again in the semi-finals. This group consisted of people that the judges thought deserved another shot. Clay Aiken was in this group. He won and went on to the Top Twelve.
And this season, Nikko Smith was brought back to replace Mario Vazquez.
That is very true.

That wouldn't do any good. It would only make it easier for those with money to be able to pick the winner.
What might work is that they only accept one vote per phone number, but even that would have flaws since some people have more than one phone and a household can have more than one person.
I think you nailed it and that people just need to remember that the talented people will be picked up when their AI contract runs out. Other than, it would be a hoot to see AI stuck with another cluncker! haha
I don't recall anyone being brought back last year.
Not as such, no, but after placing 8 contestants in the finals during the semi-finalis, they had a "wild-card" round where one person previously not voted was selected by each judge to join the top 12, with the final spot going to the (next) highest audience vote.
You're right. Sorry! Who was the one from Chicago? But you are right because he was the one that said they were so competitive and their area got a music museum of some sort, right? That's what I'm thinking about, because I could see the area he is from voting en masse so that they could have an addition about Scott Savol, the American Idol in the museum.
I still miss Nikko. I know he wasn't a favorite but I liked the Rhythm and Blues style he had.
I had forgotten about EJ! That was so wrong. Maybe that is the reason they increased the age limit.
Now if BO gets booted off I'll be so disappointed!
You sound like FReepers who swear off FR. You'll be back like they.
Scott's expression was priceless. His jaw literally dropped.
I don't remember any of that. Give some names.
After that he did like he always does. Raised his eyes and thanked God.
The judges selected George Huff (Randy), Leah LaBelle (Paula), and John Stevens (Simon), and the audience vote selected JPL.
The dirty little secret is that Carrie is getting like 50% of the total vote and the end result is not in question at all. If we knew that, we'd stop voting and watching and they don't want that.
