She does seem like a genuinely nice person, and she does try her best to encourage the contestants. She very seldom says anything bad about the contestants performance. Pitchy is about as bad as she gets! lol I think that is one of the reasons for Simon Cowell being on the show, to take up her slack.

are you hearing the scuttlebutt about ABC suing FOX over AI's practice of pushing one candidate over another? Yeah, I heard that on Rush today, too. The way I understand it, FOX is threatening to sue ABC if they air their "explosive exposé" of AI next week. Here's a link to the story--
FOX Threatens ABC Over "American Idol" Special
This exposé sounds like a real hatchet job to me, probably filled with more gossip than fact.

Her comments..in favor of her boy toy, or against another contestant, COULD influence the voting patterns..I wanna see the look Simon gives her tonite..

Paula's always says the same thing, though. "You made that song your own" or something similar. She never really criticizes anyone, so I don't see how she could slant the vote one way or another.
Now if she used her voting powers in the early stages of the contest to keep a boy-toy in, that would be completely different, because as a judge she had the power to do that.

My last comment..before I run for a cab.....if Paula did this..wanna bet she signs a million $$ deal for a Playboy spread???....I read somewheres that she and Randy are Pissed..they make less than a mill per season of AI..whereas Simon pays himself about ten mill, and gtes the profits frommthe company as well..If she leaves after the season, the AI producers shoudld have a special show to let the audience pick the next judge..

Bravo on the triple post! Never seen one of those before :)
I like Paula, but if she leaves the show, it will hurt her much more than AI.

Tonight's theme:
Music from 2000-2005. Who was it on the thread last week who said the contestants need to sing modern music? You got your wish!
I think it's going to be interesting...

(((American Idol Ping)))
Ms. Abdul, youre trying to seduce me.
This is a low-volume list.
Names are pinged only on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, coinciding with the live AI shows.
If theres an AI related story or thread that you think would be of interest, please post a link or an excerpt here on this thread.
Thanks.
And as always, if you want on or off this ping list, just let me know.
