You're welcome, texasflower. Kelly is a down-home Texas girl who is right on the edge of making to superstar status. Not there, yet, but on her way.

Ick. Constantine. I disagree. Now, I did not say I would pick him. I said countless millions of teenage girls would pick him. He is a teen idol like Elvis or David Cassidy. But if more older people vote, it will be Bo. I fell off my chair laughing at that remark about Nikko being the love child of M. Jackson and Stevie Wonder!!!

They should leave Scott in the competition.

Because he's NEVER going to win it.

Nice voice - but NO charisma. He's just mediocre to me.

Nadia - sizzling.
Carrie - classic country.
Bo - hubba hubba yum, yum!

BTW...I think Simon Cowell had it right with Carrie in her opening audition, when he said he was amazed that a shining country star hadn't shown in the first three Idol competitions. He told her from the get-go, she had star quality in the country genre.

And Simon knows his stuff. (The other two judges? To much crapology from them IMO, and they are too interested in making the contestants feel good. Simon knows what will sell)

I understand what you are saying about Carrie's stage presence...but I think that she could easily be moulded (with the proper team around her).

I think Simon (in particular) likes that about her. She's compliant. Record companies like that. They can make her a cross-over country/pop artist very easily - and without much argument - very easily.

I'd say she's up there at the top three.

Carrie/Nadia/Bo - my top three.

I really like Carrie.
I fancy Bo.

But, I think Nadia should win!

I think I heard that Scott disclosed this during the screening process.

I agree, except it may not be up to Scott whether or not he stays in the competition. Usually when a skeleton falls out of a contestant's closet, they dismiss them immediately. Unless AI knew about his arrest beforehand.

When do you see this week's AI in Ireland?

It will be aired tomorrow afternoon.

I may not get to see it because I'm in the middle of rehearsal for a show (amateur production of Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd') at the moment. I've rehearsals all day tomorrow.

And they still let him on? If that's the case they oughta go back and get Frenchie from season 2. All she did was flash her boobs on the Internet ;) And she was a better singer, too.

I hope you get to see it because this was a very odd show. Paula was obviously high on something (speculation ran from booze to pain killers). And the singers turned in some very odd performances (Bo was extremely disappointing, but Vonzelle was surprisingly good). Let me know what you think :)

They brought that up in this report. They explained why it was different. I just don't remember!

Too say the least! I hope it's just the side-effects of prescription meds (she suffers from back pain, I think) and not something worse.

FYI--just watching the local news. They said that Scott told AI all about his arrest and let him compete anyway. So I guess it's all much-ado about nothing.

Hi, Happygal. Thanks for your response. I agree with you. Carrie can be tought performance skills. She has looks and a good voice. The rest can be learned with experience and coaching. The problem for Carrie, if she wins, is that they'll start out by trying to turn her into a pop princess, and it won't be a natural fit for her.

I don't think they will though.

If Cowell has anything to do with her first single...they will give her a big country power-ballad. A Leanne Rimes, or Shania cross-over style hit!

I've not doubt about it.

After that, it's up to her, I guess. But in my mind, that's the niche she fits. And ..and the end of the day, you can't force square plugs into round holes.

If Carrie wins, I hope you're right about the music they'll give her for her first CD. I agree. That's where Carrie would fit best.

I can't believe it took me this long to find an AI thread. Would you please add me to your ping list? Thanks
