Here's Bo's cover for his single....

I'm not a huge Bo fan, but this is actually a pretty sexy cover IMO.

Hmmm...not sure what I think about those. I just love the picture on top but the cover needs more flair or something.....
I think whoever did that one used that CD cover maker on the AI website.
I'll bet YOU could come up with something really dazzling!

I finally figured out my problem. My musicmatch thing was WAY out of date. Not surprising since I've never used it. But it's updated now.
I need to figure out how to use another player as a default though.
Thanks for posting the link again. I finally got to hear it.
What did you think of it? I liked it and I liked the more "throaty" sound of it.
That may not be the right term, since I'm not the musical type! But it sounds like it's coming from deeper in her throat.
It sounds nice, I think.

[My note: Reason #1: The "heaven" song is not authentic to Bo's style, but it suits Carrie perfectly. Reason #2: She's the winner of the contest. Reason #3: Record producers "incentivize" radio stations to play their product, meaning that they basically pay to have their stuff played. Agreed. What people are buying says more than what they're being force-fed on the radio.
Just checked Amazon.com again: Bo's CD is holding steady at #3. Kelly's "Breakaway" has slipped to #12. And Carrie's CD has risen to #14.

Hello :)
I'm still suffering through AI withdrawal--how about you? (LOL)
From what I've been able to find out, the new TAR probably won't be on TV until late August or September (the actual race doesn't even begin until later this month :(
To: EmilyGeiger
Where have you
been!? I thought either you went on vacation or your computer exploded :)
You're doing TAR? Add me to that ping list too! :)
I'm using Veto!'s TAR ping list so I think your name's already included. I'll double-check to make sure. But you will be pinged, regardless!

Anyway, Ozzie was sober, steady and very personable. I had no idea he was so charming. I didn't either. I don't like his music very much and I can't stand his show, but I have to admit that he's a very likeable guy.
Now if only I could understand what he's saying ... :)

Ugh, "Vehicle" again? I was sick of that song the fifth time Bo sang it. I'm surprised they didn't include his A Capella song or his cover of "Whipping Post". Either of those is superior to "Vehicle".
To: Wolfstar; silent_jonny
Scott Savol songs pretty good on it. They were able to get recordings of him nailing the high notes and then splice them into the main recording. You cringe when he gets to those parts, and then relax when you hear that he hits them perfectly.

What did you think of it? I liked it and I liked the more "throaty" sound of it. She's getting better and better at it the more she sings it.
As an aside, I was listening to Kelly's Breakaway album last night in the car on my way home from working late and really listened to how she emoted in the way she sung certain songs and certain sections of songs and she really has become a very accomplished singer. If you don't listen closely for it, you can't really appreciate it, but I did last night. She is really amazing.

Kelly's album has been out for quite a while (last November!). For it to be in the Top 20 is very remarkable. At #12, it's practically in the Top 10. That's what you call an album with staying power. Every single song on that album could be released to radio stations as singles for airplay because they are so catchy and each could have music videos made, too. It could be #12 in November of this year!

I can't ever understand what he's saying. He mumbles and I'm always like huh? He'd probably do that to me too though with my southern slang.

Jasmine is another really pretty girl.
To: silent_jonny
A combination of both actually. I exploded and my computer went on vacation! Luckily she's better now so I want have to hit her with a bat.... poor computer has to put up with an illiterate like me. You don't know how awful it was not to have my computer working last week, with the finales of 24 and AI! Talking about addiction withdrawals!! I still haven't checked out the 24 thread to see what everyone thought. Still going through my other pings. Of course this was the first thread I went to and I was so happy for you that it went over 10,000! You are the man. :)
To: GraniteStateConservative; Wolfstar
I think I'll get Kelly's "Breakaway". (BMG owes me some free CDs anyway :)
To: silent_jonny
Agreed! They could have even used Love of Money, but even I am sick of "Vehicle". Shh...don't tell anybody I said that.
To: EmilyGeiger
This gif's for you :)

Talking about addiction withdrawals!!
I know! I suddenly have all this free time Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights--I don't know what to do with myself :)
I still haven't checked out the 24 thread to see what everyone thought.
I thought it was great! Perfect ending. Jack walks off into the sunrise instead of the sunset :)
I was so happy for you that it went over 10,000! You are the man. :)
Thank you very much! And we're less than 700 posts away from 11,000!!! :-D
