And of course the "correct" pronunciation of Latin is up for debate. I'm fairly sure scholars think "Church" Latin is pronounced differently than how Caesar would have said it.
And considering how long the Empire was around the way 'Caesar' pronounced it drifted quite a bit.
Oh yeah. I bought a Latin curriculum at first that had the hard 'C' pronunciations, e.g. Cicero being pronounced as 'Kikero'. I was just too used to the 'Liturgical' Latin though, and bought "Latina Christiana" that uses that pronunciation.
Well, one thing is for sure...he had a test today in Latin over five chapters and made the highest grade in the class. 96% His teacher was very pleased when she told me.
I told her about the word he corrected and she raised her hand in the air and said "YES!!" So, apparently she thought he was on the right track with that too! LOL
