Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

You have too much time on your hands.
And why does Gimli look terrified?

I am hoping that they will have one of the director's cuts (for all three) with all three movies shown on one day..I'm waiting for the promised DVD of bloopers and outtakes.

I love it...although there isnt much to distinguish the hobbits...Frodo needs SUPER blue eyes, Sam's hair is blonde isnt it? M&P look great tho.

I was just trying to make the hobbits look different. Not many choices.
But I've spent too much time on this already. I should be moving furniture. We're redoing our home office this afternoon/evening.
See y'all later, I'll be disconnecting the 'puter in a few minutes.
I'll check back tonite.

Hey howdy there... nice place.
Neato volcano. Maybe we'll get a new island out of the deal? Might take a while, but I did some googling around NOAA and found that there just happens to be a seamount just about exactly where they say this volcano is. If this is part of that, then there's already a head start toward a new island.
Yah know... if a new island pops up, and if it is over 200 miles offshore... then probably anybody who gets there first and plants a flag ought to be able to claim it for themselves. Finders keepers.
Wouldn't wanna set foot too early though. Hot feet. Gotta time it just right...

Our own small island would be cool... unless it's shaped like this.

I go out for the afternoon and everyone sneaks off on me!
Jen - nope, never heard back on the kitty. I'm guessing it'll be Monday. Oh well. I'm not really worried at this point.
Got the phone, but I didn't get any extra minutes yet. Meant to buy a card, but I dropped the one I had somewhere in Wal-Mart and didn't realize it until I was already at the cash register, at which point I didn't feel like going back to where the phones were and losing my place in line. I can activate it and all and just get minutes before I leave - no big deal!
Also got a road atlas in case any printed out instructions don't have enough info for a particular area.

I'm curious.... when a new pope is seated, how does that happen? Is there a hierarchy and and heir-apparent, or will there be a nomination process, or _____?

I'm glad you're not worried about the kitty. Can you buy minutes online? That's what I do with mine, it saves sales tax.
I went for a nice long walk! It's such a beautiful, beautiful day - didn't even need a jacket. Probably walked 2 1/2 miles, just around the neighborhood and along the main street.
