The Teacake recipe I have in my Mississippi Cookbook is like an extra thick sugar cookie, except it has more of the consistency of a biscuit than a cookie. Kind of a cross between the two, but vey tasty.

See, I kinda always pictured him sitting there writing, having this snack and wondering "How am I gonna get Frodo to Mount Doom without him starving to death?" So he wrote his snack into the book But he does mention "cram" in The Hobbit, so he may have just been expounding on that. Well, as Joshua would say "Who knows? I don't know. Only God knows."

I just stood for five minutes staring at the pumpkin pies, wondering which one I should cut for the boys and which one I should take to the party. They both have their good points and faults.
After five minutes I gave up and just picked one up.

Eeny, meeny, miney, moe...
Mmmmm.... I cooked a giant pot of my taco meat, you know, where I slow-cook it in salsa and a quarter-cup of sriachi sauce, on Sunday. This is the third meal I've made of it this week. Got to freeze some of it, I think. Tonight was nachos. With a sauv blanc/semillion blend cheap wine from New Zealand... heavenly.

And if, out of morbid curiousity, you pick "veggie", you'll be offered "ovo-lacto-leather or vegan?"
And if "vegan" sounds excessively excessive, and you go the other way, they'll ask "about the leather: pedestrian-utilitarian, cowperson-decorative, or homo-erotic?"
At which point I might ask "Didn't I see another state on my way in? I think I'll go there."
