Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh! Maybe so.
Anyway, I really like the movie. I hope they'll make another...

Anyone think I am over-reacting here?
Pfc Simon Says Caption Contest
I think it's in poor taste and said so at 8 and 11. I asked that the thread be pulled but it hasn't been. It's really ticking me off.

I *think* earlier in the script, she sees her father being mean to him. IIRC they are sitting for dinner and Spidey.. er.. Peter walks by. The dad says something about the rent and takes Peter's last $20. I feel she was only trying to be nice. That, or she thinks he is hot and it trying to win points ;-)

i think it's awful. Makes our soldiers look bad. I can't believe they haven't pulled it...
2nd best thing to do is not to bump it. It's tasteless.

Yeah, that's kind of tasteless. Most of the "caption this" threads are. I avoid them.
Ugh. Impossible to move. So tired... I will sleep the sleep of the just tonight.

Internet withdrawal! Yikes!
Things are starting to shape up, more or less. Piles of books and things everywhere, of course, but I completed the condition report so that's another thing out of the way. Hung most of the art, and the table's in place.

I'll try! We're going up Sunday...thought it was tomorrow, but I was wrong. So...tomorrow I really SHOULD do more packing of the stuff that wasn't done before we finished the house, but my GOSH I'm tired of it. Wish I could just go to Borders or something and goof off! Hey, I could consider it driving practice, right? Sorta?

Always a good idea. I have to go to B&N and get a book for the plane. I also got my hair cut. And restyled. It's a grownup haircut. I'm still deciding if I like it. It only added about 15 years. *harumph* Oh well, it will grow back.
To: Lil'freeper
I haven't cut my hair in about two years. I like it better this way.
Ugh, absolutely exhausted. Good news is the old place is about empty and mostly clean. Bad news is I cannot move...

like homebody hobbits suddenly out of the blue deciding to pick up and travel for days and days to a strange far-off country! ;-)Heh. Somebody decided for me.

Before I play catchup (which will be after I get back from two stores), I must share
this, which may not be new to all of you.
Enjoy.

Did you just ping the moderator or did you hit abuse? They don't always see the pings.
Abuse reports they always see. I just filed one.

Luckily for all, the idea was not a popular one, and the thread went nowhere, whether it was because I threw the wet blanket on it or not.
I also reported abuse. - maybe it just takes more than one complaint ;~D

Well, it's gone. Maybe with my "work" in the crusades I get more attention on the abuse pings...
