Mmm...lunch....
I have $4 sitting here...just enough for a lunch special at the chinese food place down the street.
It is the best "everyday"' chinese food I've ever eaten. (Not in the same catagory as very very good chinese food, but how often can I find that and afford it?)
Hm....what to feed the kids...
I always hated when my mom got something special for her lunch and we just had the same old.
Now that I've hopefully give you a guilt trip, enjoy the Chinese...
I told 'em I was getting chinese for lunch, did they want any? Both of 'em said no!
I still don't know what to fix 'em, but they don't want chinese!
What strange children...
Oh, I just found their doggy bag from when they went out to eat with my folks last night! They can eat that. Chicken Chunks.
Even when we go out to eat chinese, they get the fried chicken. Matthew loves it with soy sauce on it.
Chicken... chunks. That sounds so appetizing.
LOL!!
I think it's sesame chicken today, with steamed rice.
So, after having done all that cooking, we were rolling back into town just after 6, and Joseph asked, what's for supper? I was trying to think of something quick to fix, so he suggested Wendy's, but Clare pointed out that we were near KFC! Oh yeah! We stopped in and picked up some fried chicken and assorted other stuff, so that when we got home, we actually had time to eat before practice. That was a good thing because we didn't get home until almost 10!
We didn't have any leftovers though. ;o)
Mmm, sesame chicken...
The great moving of our time has begun... I'm doing it five trips at a time, because I just get worn out too quickly otherwise. I'm a wimp...
Whoa! Busy day!!
We rarely ever go out to eat, but I tell ya, this chinese food place down the street (and I mean a block or so away) is gonna be the death of me! LOL
But glory be!!!! You won't believe! I talked Matthew into trying the sesame chicken and he LOVED it! Next thing I knew, I was sitting in the living room floor dividing my luncheon special into 3 different plates! (Joshua will eat just about anything.)
It had chopped scallions on it, but they were easy for Matthew to remove. He's really getting past his aversion to stuff like that. Used to, if it was on the same PLATE he wouldn't eat it. This time, he just picked it off and gobbled up the chicken.
I feel like celebrating!!
Now you're making me hungry... I'm taking a lunch break after my next set of runs... well, time to carry more boxes.
Well...the concert went OK, except that I crashed the first tune. Badly. Never recovered fully. My hands were shaking too hard to play. But we settled in after that and did fine.
And tonight...is no pressure. It's not a real performance. It'll be fun! Not only that, but we're planning to go early and get something to eat! Fish n' chips for me - mmm! I'm really excited...I've never actually EATEN at the pub. Been too broke. But now I have not only house money, but also money from the performance! Woo-hoo!
That's what I'm getting tomorrow...fish and chips. The place we're going is a pub too. My whistle friend plays there a lot.
Funny, they got booted by another band for some reason...not even an Irish band even though this is supposed to be an Irish pub! Now they're back to playing there again. Hmmm...wonder if business dropped off?
Whoo-hoo!
I've got maybe a quarter of my stuff moved. The furniture's going to be interesting.
Is the new place nice?
This is so exciting!
I was forgetting you get to go out, too!
Some of the other folks who played in the concert with us are going to come tonight, too. Should make for fun times! May do more songs than we otherwise would.
It's pretty much exactly like the old place only with two rooms. It's nicer than I deserve as a leeching graduate student!
Just tried my hand at Irish Soda Bread. Used 1/3rd whole wheat flour to make it a little more healthy.;o) Made one with raisins and one without. Clare doesn't like raisins, but I'm sure she'll like the bread.
Got Advil?
I'm a computer geek, ibuprofin is a vitamin. I don't need it yet, though. Most of my stuff is light, it's just making five thousand trips that's a pain.
