FRIDAY FUN THREAD: WHAT KIND OF DOG DO YOU HAVE?
Posted on 02/11/2005 9:33:20 AM PST by TXBSAFH
As for myself and Mrs. TXBSAFH we have a retirer racing Greyhound named Patti. As sweet lazy 40 mph couch potato, I mean if the dog got any calmer it would involve a taxidermist.
We felt the need for speed.

A Portuguese Water Dog - Other than being from Massachusetts it's the only other thing Ted Kennedy and I have in common!

LOL - a MinPin and a Terrier...that's gotta make for wild times :-)
My hubby worked for INTEL in DuPont for a while, then in Seattle. I worked at SEATAC.

Anybody but me got Dobies? We've got three. Can't have too many Dobies, you know.
They are all three very handsome dudes, but their mistress is not clever enough to know how to post here!

Gordon Setter/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. A great combo, and a wonderful dog! (Even if he did get skunked on Monday, as I watched it happen....)

Felco, mixed something. Bad pictures, but all I have at work. When I have his fur cut in the summer, everyone goes "pit bull". I think he's mixed with some kind of bird dog though - he points whenever birds land in the yard. He lives with three opinionated cats and obeys them without question.

1. Sadie Odie - scary looking/sounding but oh-so-sweet Bouvier/spaniel
2. Keesha Butt - Cocker - deaf, missing an eye, wags so much she has carpal tunnel tail :)
3. Bubba Dump - Pomeranian - daddy's dog (he needed a male to even the odds in the household), pushy little snot (the dog, I mean)
4. Ebby - toy poodle - the obnoxious cuddle rat
5. Prissy - the Himilayan cat who rules the roost
If I was Native American, my name would be "Sleeps with Poodle".

Growing up, we ALWAYS had Dobies. Hubby and I don't have any now (we're in Navy base housing, too small a yard for a big dog) but my parents have a 6yr old male Dobie named Shag that tips the scales at 115lbs, is scared of thunderstorms, and HATES snow. Spoiled rotten beyond all belief. You should have seen it when my aunt gave my parents a Jack Russell/doxie mix for Christmas this past year. Shag didn't want anything to do with the pup at first, every time she'd nip his back legs he'd go running to Mama, but now Shag and the pup are best friends.
