Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Mmmm...cholesterol medicine...
Yeah, I think I inherited the avocado vinyl...and you've seen the livingroom wallpaper in my pictures of the animals. Pretty bad.
But it's in solid condition, which is fairly rare in the price range, so it has that going for it.

Rosie, it isn't too late, even for this realtor. It may be too late for today, but keep in mind, (1)she isn't the one buying, and (2) the buying isn't happening today. You *know* what you need to do so far. Once she see it, she will confirm what you already know, and maybe add to it. This is just an initial pass through. The realtor will not expect it to be 100% up to showing at this point. Don't fret about what you need to do today. You have done so much already, and I am sure that the realtor will recognize "work in progress."
chin up. Hang in there.

I was stationed at Goodfellow for abotu 6 months, and wouldn't ya know, we got to take advantage of that maid service. What a pleasant surprise! (the maids still didn't do inspection quality work, though.)

maintainin' an immaculate house by yerself, and still maintainin' some semblence of a life is durn near impossibleWhut he said... now you've got me worried that my casual attitude toward housework (I haven't got food poisoning yet!) is going to offend you and we won't be able to be roommates... just teasin' you, of course.
Honestly, there's more to life than white-washed ceilings.

Reminds me of that episode on
St. Elsewhere when Dr. Craig got the mailing labels mixed up and sent a human head to his mother-in-law instead of to research.
Mother-in-law opened up the human head and died with a heart attack.
Research got the birthday present.

Good grief! ;~\
Best reply on the thread was something like "Geeze, the least they could do is give him a hand with it"
Awfully funny.
