Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'll see to the kitties no matter what! But if there's only one person in the entire department in tomorrow and no one to answer the phones...I may go in for the rest of the day, after the cats are taken care of.
Kind of a bummer that I sold my exercise bike, and that's gonna go straight to vet bills. *sigh* Life really isn't fair sometimes. But I also can't just let it go, unfortunately.

Really hoping the kitties don't have anything seriously wrong going on...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Me too! Though...now that I'm home and actually looking at it, Halvah's eye doesn't look quite as bad as I remembered. Mostly just red. But they're all sneezing. Great.
I want 'em well, but I'm also hoping I don't hafta spend a fortune on medications! Also wonder how they caught whatever this is, since they're indoor kitties.

I don't know if that particular Bionicle is only sold out of the country, but I do know that lots of other Bionicles are sold here. Joseph was collecting them, and even made a movie using his figures.

Good night thread....

Did you have to kill it on your way out?
I guess there's hope for me not dying this weekend... the take-home test is half done already, the paper proposal shouldn't take more than six hours, the programming assignment isn't due for almost a week and isn't that complicated, the other midterm allows me a cheat-sheet so I won't be staying up until 3 am studying - am I forgetting an assignment? Oh, yeah, two, but they get blown off until a week from now,

Oooops...didn't finish the question : has there been any news that Mr. Davies will update his official website? I realize he is extremely busy (for which I am glad, because that must mean he is working on another project!), but he had an interview not too long ago on Hollywood Jesus that I liked very much. Would love to spread the word on the blogosphere that he is up and running, so to speak.
Plus, I need to put together my thoughts on Western Civilization and I so appreciate what he has to say about it.

Mornin'
Alkin - I heard that.
2J - Didn't answer about Bionicle. Jr. had some Bionicle stuff (it's gone now). Luke isn't into it (yet).
Gots muh taxes filed last night. Glad to get that out of the way. Fortunately, we're getting money back instead of having to pay more extortion fees.
Busy weekend ahead. Do I really have to go to the office today?
