The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 01/27/2005 9:59:05 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

You're not getting all het up about not having a job, are you? Honestly, it's good your coming to live with me. Clearly you get too depressed all on your own. You need someone to hit you with a fish or something.

Not really het up yet. But it's on my list of stuff to start getting het up about. ;-)

Mmmm...fish.

told the MDC I shot me a dillo... they said "good... keep doin' it..." I intend to...they destroy habitat, lawns and gardens... took this one at 20 yards... with muh .45... 230 gr FMJ hardball... went in through the right eye, exited the left... I was goin' fer a head shot... it'll werk...

Hmmm. Possum on the half shell.

The 'dillas come north as far as the winters will allow, their northern range limit seems to ebb and flow over the years. Hard winters and they die off or head for warmer climes. Not sure they have been found north of US 50, generally Lakes country is about as far as they come.

That were a vey nice shot btw.
