Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

She did a good job for the first time having done it. Now she knows how to make it, and can do it herself, next time. She and Joseph want to learn to make my Buttermilk Cake, so I'm going to show them how, maybe this weekend. I got a bottle of that DaVinci's Flavored syrup, Sugar Free Hazelnut, and Joseph wants to use the flavoring in the cake. I bet it will be really good!

Sounds delicious!
You know, DaVinci makes a plain sugar-free syrup now...no flavorings at all...I think it's called "Simply Sweet". Just pure Splenda syrup! That's good if you're watching carbs because bulk Splenda has carbs but liquid Splenda is carbless.
You can't get pure liquid splenda here in the US, only in Cananda. But you can get this Davinci syrup, I understand...

I've got my three tasks done... about to start putting the new thread together... I don't think I want to see any more talk about DaVinci syrup.

Bleargh.... oh, this is great. I feel like crap and now I feel guilty. Look, people, I'm really stupid and I just don't understand when people don't come out and say what's bugging them. It's that lack of socialization as a result of homeschooling.
If I get on your nerves, please let me know. Goodness knows there have been conversations (South Park days, "Hunter Thompson Quote Nights", chicken talk, whistle talk) that I haven't had anything to do with, but I just come back the next day because we're onto something else. So, I won't mention anime again - is SF still ok - unless I'm, say, mentioning a series to ksen when he comes on once a month or so.

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm gonna make a leap and tell ya that your anime-talk doesn't bug us a bit!
Weirds us out sometimes, but doesn't bug us. :-P

It doesn't bother me either.
I may not always be interested in what the topic is, but I always like hearing the sounds of my friends voices. Even if it is virtual.

Good, but I'll still try to stick to wider topics... anyway, when Rosie comes out here I can talk to her in RL. Talon will just have to suffer :-)

Jen, if you're going to sleep through breakfast, you're gonna get blamed for a lot of mini-dramas. ;-)
Do NOT feel guilty ("blaming" you was a joke). And, AFAIK, there are no taboo subjects.
Except lembas.
Which is exactly like vanilla wafers...

In that case, Bear, let's start a discussion of weird hard SF that maybe three other people have read, and 2J can start keeping us up to date about Wal-mart's prices and Ruthy can wait for Ramius to show up so they can flirt and g'nad can come talk about gralloching.... in other words, let's drop this and go back to normal.
I'm going to whine about how crappy I feel. This isn't fair, I just got done being sick, and now I can't breathe again, and I've got a midterm tomorrow. Bleargh.
