Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Your idea of starting to take zinc and Vitamin C now is a good one, Rosie. Get your immunities all built up before you head out there!

You're welcome. It took my breath away. You think I'd be old enough by now not to fall in love with a damn picture, wouldn't you?

I don't think they're online. She took the CDs to the guy who's collecting them for AnimeBoston, but she could create a couple more and send them to you! I think she did a pretty good job on them!

I think those with that sort of creative talent are great! I've seen a few AMVs that are just incredible. They're definitely art forms.

They're definitely art forms.I gave her a full credit last year in Computer Graphics for the time and effort she spent creating the music video for AnimeCon. She had to learn the Graphics set up in Windows, then after submitting the video, she decided to learn how to work the U-Lead software! I think that's what she used this year.

Whew! All shoveled out, for now. It's actually rather nice out there. Not super cold. If I was out at the house, I'd consider a quick snowshoe...though I guess it's a little late. Dark comes early in these parts...
Now having some chocolate raspberry decaf. It's odd...but tasty.

Am alternating between resting and cleaning - got some supplies. The tub needed a scrub, and the stove was gross. Might as well get things clean and keep them that way, rather than doing a humongous scrub in two weeks' time.

I should be following your example, considering the closing is two weeks from today...but I'm reallllly good at procrastination. Shouldn't waste that talent...

You'll have an easier time of it than me, since you've got tons of frap out already!

Sorta! Most of the frap is stacked in the livingroom...
And I need to do a MASSIVE dump run! Maybe should take a day off this week or next to do that. But I actually have less stuff in general now than I did when I left Germany, so I've done pretty well, I think! Really narrowed things down a lot.

Travelling light is always good! Take the stuff on Saturday?
I won't be defrapping at all, since I haven't collected much since I moved out here.

I still need to mail stuff, though. If I didn't have books, I'd have next to nothing, but...you know how that goes!
Also have to squeeze in the instruments, of course - likely it'll be a guitar, a mandolin, a banjo, and two fiddles (mine and Margaret's). Those take up space, too.
I really need to order that roof pouch thingie. I think they may drop ship from the manufacturer, and I dunno how long that takes...
Back to laundry and reading for a bit!

You know, when you two move in together, the thread is going to get real quiet.
(That's not meant as a slam, since I prefer a chatty thread to a quiet thread.)
