Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I don't pick up any channels here and don't have cable...so I cain't watch 'em even if I wanted to. I wouldn't really mind. You know...I've never seen the Oscars, other than clips.

I thought I'd watch The Passion instead.

I still need to purchase that. That and "Harry Potter" are the only other nominees I've seen. Or, maybe Spiderman 2 got a nomination...

I don't think they're showing it on my tv channel, but I can check - nothing better to do - well, studying, but I could do that too.

Hope you've got duct tape on hand...
I'm a baking fiend! Decided to make a quiche for this week, so that's in the oven, the roast is on the stove, and I'm just going to make some with-its in a bit... it's nice to have time to cook. Most nights I'm too tired to make anything beyond my four set 15-minute dinners.

This'll be kinda fun. Like camping. At least at first...
The kitties are baffled by the sudden disappearance of the bed, though. They were shut up while it was happening. They're examining that room over and over as if they think it sank into the floor or something.

Hah, at first is the key. There are 5.7 million mattress stores in Fort Collins, we'll find one with a sale. And a truck. Heh, you can buy a bed with your first paycheck, or when you land a job, to celebrate!

Looks like Megan's not so sure about the horsey, but I love that little pixie face in the first picture!

I'm back in my usual Oscars mode... all I really am interested in are the music categories. I'm rooting for either James Newton Howard (The Village) or John Williams (Harry Potter).

5.7 million? Heh...but I get the idea. ;-)
Yeah, that'll be one of the first things on my list, along with a desk and BOOKCASES!

Bookcase... mmm... Maybe we can get a pile of two-by-fours and build some, if we get desperate. Or Wal-mart. Or something.
Oh, yeah, any tools you have, bring. I've got a few screwdrivers, mostly little ones for computer components, but that's it.

Yep, been there, done that. Only I acquired 'em...can't remember where, actually. But it was legal. ;-)
Even purchasing them from somewhere like Home Depot would be pretty cheap.
Only catch is that I'd end up scraping my knuckles on the durn things.

Books are easily stored, though. I've had times when I kept books in drawers... We'll figure something out.
