Steve's pretty good at stuff like that too...and if they don't have a son or family member to help them and can't afford to take it in...it's probably just easiest for them to pour the oil in. Costly though...after a while.
They are very elderly. Tottering elderly, you know...
I'll talk to my neighbor about it some more...see if she thinks it would be ok to approach them. They know her, but not us.

Heh...it does make pretty patterns in the rainwater, as it runs into our driveway. Will be a good lesson.
Goodnight everyone! See you in the morning.

I watched The Lavender Hill Mob last night. Audrey Hepburn had a walk-on part.

Woohoo!!! And I didn't tell them about your tagline.
All I said was: "Well... I think he's a pretty good guy, after all, I let him marry my sister."
:-)
Evening all...

I'd approach as "Ma'am I've noticed you have an oil leak. You might want to have that checked before there's some serious damage to your car."
Let her think you're concerned for her well being. Not that you're worried about your yard.

Evening Corin - the munge is working its way through our office, sounds nasty around there. Natch, 'pears I gots it. Sorry to hear that. It's no fun. I think we've finally determined this time that it was the flu. All the symptoms fit and the congestion seems to be clearing up. Still have a dull headache.
Rest. Force the fluids.

Wow...that's fantastic! You guys, don't forget to really live it up tonight -- once a job offer is accepted, life is really, really good...before the work starts. Then it gets good again once the paycheck comes!
Great news for you guys. Wahoo!
To: ecurbh
Wonderful news, ecurbh! And close to home too!
It'll be an adjustment, having to get up and go to work every day. but so worth it on pay day. :-D
Congratulations.
