Just got sent an offer for that Web Administrator job I interviewed for last week, and have accepted it. Will start at 8am Monday.
It will be nice to have a regular paycheck again. It's been stressful at times, scrimping by from contract to contract. And it will be a big readjustment, having to go to work in an office every day after 14+ months of working (now and then) from home. Of course, I certainly don't regret quitting my job to move here! ;~D
Now, I think I'm gonna take my wife out for steak and lobster to celebrate!
don't hurt me, I'm teasing
Evening Ecurbh: Way to go that is great news.
Evening 2J - that looks fairly 'series' for the car, no way it should be leaking that much.
On the bright side. You and the Jedis have a science project. How sort of dispersion pattern of the pollutant will be seen come spring. I'll be Steve would help you set it up.
Great news! Congrats!
Evening Corin - the munge is working its way through our office, sounds nasty around there. Natch, 'pears I gots it. Looks like ten days to three weeks to run its course. Sigh.
Maybe you should ask the grandmother if she knew her car was leaking oil. She might want a mechanic to look at it...not good for the engine doncha know.
Woo Hoo! Now you can support Hair in the manner to which she'd like to be accustomed.
mebbe you can have Steve do a soil/wetlands impact study on yer oil slick... might get a few extra credits...
If you look at the picture where you can see my minivan, you can see those are pretty nice houses across the street there...those houses are in a newer, more modern subdivion. If I took a picture of what was behind me, you'd see a bunch of old wood frame homes. Mine used to be the nicest on the street, but a few people have moved in and started fixin' up the area...which is nice, but there are still some very low income people living in this neighborhood.
After speaking with my neighbor across the street, she told me the lady parking in front of my house is poor. She's raising her granddaughter after custody was taken away from her daughter.
So I'm glad I hadn't already said something to her. Her burden is heavy enough without me heaping more on.
I believe it's oil...and I believe it's so fresh that it's just being poured in and pouring out. Now I'm wondering what we can do to help...maybe Steve could at least take a look...
See above!
What wonderful news, ecurb!! Congrats, my FRiend!
I'm easy... I only need a horse trailer and a truck. Heck... Make it a nice enough horse trailer and I don't even need a house. ;~D
:) We wouldn't want her car to break down and leave her stranded somewhere, would we?
dude... sucks tuh be you... and I mean that sincerely...
jest got back from the VA... actually went better than I thought it would, and I didn't havetuh do violence on anyone... course that means I got two follow up apperntments... bastiges...
A trailer with cot and cold running oats?
not a bad idea... if'n yuh approach it from a "tryintuhbehelpful" angle, yuh jest might get the problem fixed...
cain't type nuh more...
y'all have a good nite...
