The Hobbit Hole XIX - Tomorrow we may come this way...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 01/27/2005 9:59:05 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Tomorrow we may come this way...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Guess who got a haircut?

And [shudder] his learner's permit.

wait a minute, I DID see that one with the trees bending.

Yep, that was the end of the "first season". There will be a second season though, due to start in June! The first season is available on DVD, too.

That's his "cool" look. He didn't smile for any of the pictures.

The haircut (and style) was his idea.

Learners' permit?

Shudder. I pity you. On the other hand, eventually he'll start wanting to borrow the car, and then you'll have a threat to hold over his head.

Actually he's getting my old car. He just has to pay to make it go anywhere.

one could really make a whacked-out movie by splicing scenes from 'Lord of the Rings' and TPB together, couldn't they?

As you wish. :-)

Well, this is certainly a propeller morning.

The (imaginary) prize goes to the first person to get that...

Hey! He looks great!

My youngest brother just got his permit, too. He doesn't understand WHY I'm hesitant to let him drive my van...
