Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Ok, Matthew doesn't like raisins...he likes sunflower seeds but not in his bread...so I made him his own special loaf of cinnamon bread with that extra tbsp of sugar. Instead of just making it with the milk, I make it with 2 large Jar Jar eggs (she lays the largest) and 2/3 of a cup of milk. Makes it a more wholesome bread (or as wholesome as it can be, I guess, with 3 tbsp of sugar in it...lol!)
Well, I added just a touch more yeast because I thought the eggs might make it a bit heavy. It just NEARLY blew the lid off the machine! LOL It did adhere to the inside of the lid just a bit. Matthew thought it was pretty funny...mega bread!

As I've said before, Cleo isn't such a hard one to part with. I know she wouldn't adjust well, if she didn't have a heart attack on the way there.
But Halvah...Mom picked her out for me! And she's such a darlin' little goofball...she's the clumsiest cat I've ever known. It's rather funny...Tam could walk a tightrope without a problem...Halvah could lose her balance on the back of the couch. Graceful, she ain't!
In any case, both of the cats could be added to the TPL...

Powerpoint is evil. Oh it's not only that. Now they've decided they're going to do ALL their presentations with Powerpoint. We're talking 15-30 presentations per meeting.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. Can't you just make an appointment with a real doctor and skip the hospital altogether?

Here's First Sergeant Brady's knife set. Just got it back today from engraving. With luck, it will be mailed tomorrow.

I hate to say it, but there are a couple of slight screwups in the engraving, since they didn't follow my, or their, written instructions. First, on the ER, they left off "USMC" from his name. Fortunately, I told them to include the USMC emblem, so I hope this is acceptable.

Second, the CRKT had just "SGT Bradley A. Kasal" on it. They had busted him from E-8 to E-5. They were able to add "1st" to the line without it being too noticeable. They also forgot to use a larger capital letter for the first letters in his names, as we've done earlier.
I hope he finds these acceptable, anyway.
