Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

My mom's the same way.
But I've never had any trouble having blood drawn in my life. This fella just flat out had no clue what he was doing.
I actually ~felt~ my vein pop. It's not a feeling I care to relive ever again.

I couldn't remember if you had talked about being concerned that if Jr. homeschooled he might not be eligible for college football.
HERE'S an article about that topic.

My co-worker just took a picture with his camera phone. He's e-mailing it to me in a minute and I'll see if I can't get it posted.
It looks much better today than it did yesterday, but it's still pretty ugly.

After some technical difficulties, I finally got it.

It's taken with one of those cell phone cameras, so the quality isn't good. But you get the idea. It was bigger and darker looking yesterday, believe it or not.
The red dot on the upper far right part of the bruise is where the needle went in. I think he used too big a needle.

I wish I could get my hands on the surveillence film from the hospital! It would make great entertainment seeing me running and ducking behind cars all the way to the parking garage.

My hands or arm always swell up and turn purple. I have hard veins to find. They used to always tell me I had "deep veins," until I finally started telling them I knew they just meant I have fat arms.
It was so bad during the cancer treatment that I actualy convinced them to take the blood from the back of my hand. It hurt less.
(yeesh! I am between meetings and my world (FReep-wise at least) is exploding)

No fun... I have random bruises on my arms, I don't know why.
Ugh. Have decided to skip the third class today so as to meet with people re homework that's due at midnight early. Then maybe I can get to bed before 11... I might take a sick day tomorrow...

Taking blook from the wrist isn't too bad, I discovered. It'll be my first choice from here on out.

I couldn't remember if you had talked about being concerned that if Jr. homeschooled he might not be eligible for college football. Problem here is that the Virginia High School League has rulez that require student to be enrolled at school for which he plays.
In other Jr. news, he'll be taking Algebra and at least one more subject (likely English ~ sigh) in summer school. Good part of that is that he can do Algebra online.
He hasn't quite grasped this concept yet. He's still lobbying for Brazil. Told us he needed to go to feel complete because last year he did all the odd jobs, not one specfic task. Told us he needed to go because he told at least 10 people he'd be back. Told us he needed to go back because that's where his heart is.
Mom looked at him and said "so where does God fit in?"
Besides, if he went to Brazil, we couldn't afford to send me to Tanzania...

What's happening in your Freep-World? Oh, just heavy discussion you know "where" so I can't keep up.
That and a RINO Tax-Loving State Senator is now coming out as the second challenger to my candidate for Governor. He may even run as an independent. It's gonna get ugly.
