Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Pictures of the trial run cookies...Here we are when we first got the cookie cutter and mixes!

Here is my work surface...jedis eating pizza looking on. Too much flour (actually I used powdered sugar).

After cutting the cookie out, I would scrape it up using a thin pancake turner...I got mine at the thrift store and I think it's gotta be from the 70s, judging by that green color! Then, after I got it up, I pressed it into the red sprinkles.

Jedis enjoying cookies...

If all goes well and if the schedule doesn't change, we'd be getting there on a Sunday or Monday - the second weekend of April. Woo-hoo!

I'll have to look for the Princess Bride 'ultimate' DVD. That's one of our kids' favorite movies, and I like it, too!

Most excellent. Of course, if you get there earlier than that you can hang out longer!
What are the dates for the wedding?
I'm off to try the church in the next town. Here's hoping...

I'm bringin' it. You can see for yourself!
The movie isn't different, but the documentary with it is insteresting, to me at least. I'm happy to have it on DVD since my tape was getting a little ragged...

Heh! You can see my map of Florida, still up on the fridge, the one I prayed over during the hurricanes! It has all the Florida Freepers names on it!

I'm thinkin' beige isn't an easy color to come up with using food coloring...

Oh, I was just think about leaving it the natural sugar cookie color; no colored sprinkles. She could just use regular sugar, if she wanted sugar at all!

What was the end of all that, without wading through such a long thread? I've been away from news sources for hours here!

Hi! Glad that worked out for you!
I went out to Dad's and went for a long snowshoeing trek, and then did some shopping. Now going to call on the ONE ad in the two local classifieds paper for a cartop carrier. Only one! It's $55...I'm going to see if they still have it, and if they'll go any lower.
We checked for 'em at Wal-Mart, but except for a cloth one that wasn't even waterproof, the only one they had was a hundred bucks.
