Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I haven't taken the super drug yet. I was so out of it last night, I forgot to tell PE that I had it.

Wonder how I could go about telling them so?
You know, I told Steve that Numb3rs is a show I wouldn't even mind my jedis watching...it's exciting but still rather tame.
I wonder how I could go about telling them that too? There aren't many shows I can watch with my kids. I have them in bed with strict instructions not to come out of the hallway if they have to get up because there sure are times I don't want them walking in during CSI or God knows, NYPD Blue!

Nana update (sorta)
She doesn't know if she's coming home today. She hasn't seen her orthopedic surgeon yet. And she said they just changed the IV bag (although it was probably just time).
She had to have a shot for pain in her shoulders last night. I ~think~ it's just being sore from the fall. She hit one on the refrigerator going down and landed on the other. Thedoctor looked at them last night and she was moving them okay (well, as okay as she ususally can).

My word.
You know, this is how it was with my grandmother, who lived with us for 12 years before my mom put her in a home. It was basically periods of good sprinkled with stays in the hospital. Sometimes it was pneumonia, once she fell and broke her back! But as the years went by, the trips to the hospital got more and more frequent till finally my mom couldn't keep up.
